  1. I’m so tired of hearing what a genius Kyle Shanahan is. He’s got players.
  2. What a throw that was to Doubs. Purdy wishes he could do that.
  3. If the Texans don’t drop that pick in the end zone….
  4. I felt like the minute Christian Harris went out with an injury the game changed. He went back in but wasn’t the same and it snowballed.
  5. When things get bad for the Bills in a game I have to step away, sometimes for a quarter, sometimes longer. The people with axes to grind against particular players and coaches always proliferate in those times, and I don’t want to say something I’ll regret. But I usually can’t stay away too long. I can’t watch the game with live humans other than my son (who’s away at college) or my dad (who lives in another state), because they always want to talk about something else, and I only want to talk about the game with people who are as into it as I am. This is pretty much the only place that happens. As for my posting style, I celebrate, I gripe, I analyze, I react…. Like most of you, I’m all over the place.
  6. The case can be made that the Chiefs have NEVER EVER had to play offense in an environment like Sunday's, at least not since January 1994 and 1992 when we took them to the woodshed both times. I love it when folks say "but they played in Tampa's home stadium against the Bucs." First of all, a corporate Super Bowl crowd is nothing like this. Second... they lost.
  7. Belichick admitted to them that he "needs Brady to be successful," so they figured why not just cut out the middleman....
  8. Not sure how Mahomes thought that when his back was to the ref throwing the flag the whole time.
  9. Man, from this angle you can really see how far offside Toney is.
  10. Either that or just don’t knowingly lie to your players and create false bluster. “I wish it were colder.” No, you obviously don’t, and we can tell. Plus you just made it about you, not the team. It hit different when Marv would say “when it’s too cold for them, it’s just right for us.” Because (a) it was true and (b) he made it about us v them, not me me me.
  11. I bet you are.
  12. Exactly. If it's not 120 degrees on our side of the field (and ONLY on our side), the Dolphins are 19-15 under McDaniel compared to 19-14 under Flores. And McDaniel had the better roster.
  13. All this time I have been trying to figure out who McDaniel reminds me of. Then last night I was idly surfing the Roku and saw an icon for "The League," the show from around 2010 about a group of fantasy football players. Tell me he's not a dead ringer for Rodney Ruxin, the league's most annoying owner. I can't believe I didn't see it before, but apparently I'm not the first.
  14. Two thoughts on this. One: even though this started among Pittsburgh fans, there's a subtle campaign from Mahomes/Chiefs lovers to play this up in the hopes that a Josh run on Sunday will draw a flag. Two: I wouldn't be surprised to see the Competition Committee receive a ridiculous proposal requiring quarterbacks to run in a straight line or slide after they cross the line of scrimmage. No more "juking" allowed. To which I say fine, then quarterbacks must also run directly out of bounds when they are across the line and outside the hashmarks.
  15. It's telling me I gotta take a *****
  16. They went 8-40 in those. No thanks.
  17. And you can see them looking at him like "how the ***** would YOU know?" The coldest he's ever been as a "player" was probably some November game at Dartmouth, and he was only cold because he stood on the sidelines the whole game. Dude looked like a third grader on the sidelines the way he was bundled up. I half expected to see Wonder Bread bags peeking out of the top of his moon boots.
  18. 19-14 their last two years under Flores without Tyreek, with no playoff wins and an 0-4 record vs Buffalo. 20-14 their first two years under McDaniel with Tyreek, with no playoff wins and a 1-4 record vs Buffalo. Half a game “improvement,” and now they’re in cap jail without an elite QB, Tyreek turning 30 and taking a beating, and haven’t had a first round pick since 2021. This is fine.
  19. 7 gotta get up on out of there.
  20. And the “problem” was nothing more than that Lenny played like ***** in his opportunities and became the first guy to go when they needed to make a move.
  21. yep… I saw a guy that wasn’t that interested in helping to push on the sneaks and was trying not to make it too obvious. If that had been Lenny pushing instead of Gilliam against the Steelers, I doubt Josh gets that big first down. I think the team decided right then that if a need at another position arose, Lenny would be the first to go.
  22. this, 100%. Look no further than the Eagles for proof. When the wheels started coming off there, they were powerless to stop it.
  23. 2020 Steelers were close. They started 11-0, finished 12-4 (including a prime time loss at home to the Bills), and were bounced in the first round. I wonder if the refs had anything to do with it.
