  1. Too bad our front 4 couldn’t get a single pressure like that all game long.
  2. Our fans tore down the goalposts after we lost? I've heard stories of people lugging their own kegs into the Rockpile... now I believe them. $23 a pop for a midmajor women's game is what got me.
  3. This. There is a better chance of the blimp crashing through the Superdome roof than there is of the Chiefs not getting a game-changing call, so I'll root for the former.
  4. The second-to-last Super Bowl I ever watched with other people (save for my dad and son) was XXVI. I was in college and kind of had to go to the Sports Information Department's party since I worked there. ***** miserable. The last SB I ever watched with other people was Falcons-Broncos in 1999 a few months after I got married. On the way home I informed my wife that I would be attending no, zero, none, nada more SB parties regardless of who was in it, and I have kept my promise. Being the only person in the place who actually wants to watch the game is no fun.
  5. 100% agree. In fact, those and the Nick Foles win may be the only Super Bowls I've ever truly felt good about at the end, except for maybe the two Dolphins' losses in the early '80s. The Bucs' win over the Chiefs would be in there too if it wasn't for Brady. Torry Holt and his Lamar-kissing ass can go ***** themselves.
  6. I love how these people don't vote for any Bills for All-Pro or Pro Bowl, and then turn around and say "they're actually better than you think" to justify their Lamar MVP vote. Next year I bet we get a whole passel of AP/PB guys so they can go back to voting for Lamar.
  7. Next we're going to hear screaming from Ravens fans about "tampering" because Carucci is a voter.
  8. Not enough people are talking about that. Josh didn’t go one year but that was because he was completely left off the finalist list. Lamar was 1st team All-Pro and very nearly won. Just a bad look unless he had a good reason not to be there. It’s like he already knew.
  9. Absolutely a first down by Kincaid on the 3rd and 3, even more blatant than the 4th down call. His legs were on top of the Chiefs' defender and he wasn't down until the ball was well across the 40. But we know that if we challenged it would have been "the ruling on the field stands" and we would have lost the timeout anyway. I guess the only caveat is that we would have had time during the challenge to get our heads out of our asses and find a 4th down play that worked. The correct call there completely changes the rest of the game.
  10. We already lost a timeout on the earlier challenge; we would have lost another one there. The reviews were horrid, including the one on the Worthy "catch," and the writing was on the wall. In hindsight, the D wasn't stopping them from getting the one first down they needed anyway, but at least we had a theoretical chance to get the ball back with two timeouts. All through the playoffs we were getting screwed on big spots. I never saw so many third and fourth-and-shorts all year. Our opponents? First down, move the chains, don't even bother looking at it.
  11. Didn't get it! ***** the Eagles and ***** their fans.
  12. How is that not offsetting?
  13. Interesting how the Eagles beg for flags and don't get them. What a concept. Of course I spoke too soon. That's PI? Really?
  14. Lattimore, man. Got toasted.
  15. I remember a team that once won the conference championship by 48 points and lost the SB anyway.
  16. Pretty sure the Commanders aren't done turning the ball over. Some of these throws are risky as *****.
  17. I don't care how good he is, that's piss-poor tackling.
  18. That's why they have two people in the booth.
  19. I'm traveling on business tomorrow morning and I made sure to get all my work tasks in order last week and this weekend. I even packed last night. I have a couple more things to tick off the list this afternoon. I'm fine right now but I know I will be useless after the game no matter what happens.
  20. This. I remember Bruce saying after the AFCCG how “sick” he was that the 49ers didn’t win because he wanted to prove themselves against the best. Hopefully there’s none of that bad mojo this time around. The Super Bowl is the Super Bowl. The Chiefs are just in the ***** way.
  21. I had the flu during the 1993 Divisional against the Raiders and watched at home huddled under multiple blankets, shivering and hallucinating. I went right back to bed afterward. A week later I was in the stands at Rich watching us walk all over the Chiefs. I relapsed after that game and was sick for another month. It was worth it.
