  1. If we can’t beat this sorry mess of a football team….
  2. Two fumbles not recovered, interception not made, punt returner slipped catching punt and held on to the ball. Four turnovers we could have had already and didn’t.
  3. He’s going to get ***** killed back there.
  4. Has a stinger; return questionable.
  5. Good thing we went out and got that CB depth.
  6. Going for it on 4th and short in opponents' territory is almost always the correct call. The execution has just been piss-poor. On both sides.
  7. That underhanded trick pass seems to work every time. The fact that it finally didn't must have stunned Mahomes, who clearly wasn't ready on 4th down. Love it.
  8. Maybe now we can stop talking about KC's rookie offensive linemen
  9. That is a very interesting website, nflpenalties.com. If you just look at overall penalties and yardage, Tampa actually has a worse net penalty and yardage ratio than Buffalo. But as I have been saying for years, it isn't the number of penalties or yards that matter: it's when they are called. And, of course, when they are not called. I would be willing to bet a lot of money that the majority of flags we've benefited from have been thrown in our blowout wins - in other words, when we didn't need any help from the stripes to begin with. It's incredibly easy for the refs to "balance" things out in those situations.
  10. How about twice in the same game the refs call offsetting penalties on a crucial Tampa third down? This accomplishes two things. One, it gives Brady a mulligan. Two, it keeps the final penalty tally from getting too far out of whack. These were two of the four (!) penalties called on the Bucs all game and they were offset by phantom calls on us, which was a net positive for them. In this day and age of stats overload, it boggles my mind that box scores still don’t provide more penalty data. You should be able to see offsetting penalties, penalties accepted and declined, types of penalties, situations, etc., without having to dig into the play-by-play. This is 100% by design.
  11. This rule change will be implemented the year after Brady retires. I love that whenever it is called and they go to the replay the announcer says “that’ll be called every time.” Every time indeed. Except on Stefon Diggs against Tampa.
  12. Brady is not going to do that. They have thrown 517 passes and attempted 263 runs this year. Brady averages over 42 pass attempts per game. And there is no way he will accept a game plan that doesn't allow him to air it out, not after what just happened. If they can get up big early, they will run to limit our opportunities to come back, but not until then.
  13. There was definitely a call on OUR offensive line when Van Noy threw up his hands (well after the RB had passed his level) and did a great acting job to get the call on Brown (I think).
  14. The 64-yard TD was a fluke. One play. ***** happens. The real killer was the 14-play FG drive, 11 of whose plays occurred into the wind when we absolutely knew they weren't throwing the ball. Don't act like that wasn't all on the D or like it didn't make a difference in the game.
  15. That’s at least twice I’ve seen you complain about that call. The player himself was already out of bounds when he shoved Allen, and I haven’t seen you mention the two times in the first half when the Pats committed textbook RTP penalties by landing with their full weight on Allen and got away with both.
  16. I do not believe it was Belichick’s strategy to give us the ball going with the wind.
  17. Or they realized they had no choice.
  18. Yes. Everyone on this board over 32 remembers where they saw this before. It wasn’t Belichick who stopped us in that game, by the way. We still scored a point a minute. We just only had the ball for 20 minutes. What killed us in that game was the inability to get off the ***** field on defense.
  19. Yes, but they ran it effectively throughout the third quarter. Not to score points but to keep us off the field with the wind at our backs. And it worked.
