Sometimes it's the penalties that aren't called that influence the game more. As well, of course, as when they're called. Clete Blakeman (Sunday's ref) -- his crew calls fewer penalties per game than Novak's. How'd that work out for us?

Well the TB they were favoring in the last game wasn't "Tampa Bay."

There were penalties called on Philly, but they were either declined or offsetting. I’m glad a crew called it like it was instead of throwing a bunch of laundry late to “even things out.”

Wink Martindale is an excellent DC, their LB whose name I can neither spell nor pronounce was a freaking maniac the other night, Daboll put all of his eggs into the beating-the-Bills basket, the Giants were obviously told to fake injuries after Bills first downs to slow momentum and enable substitutions, etc etc. Give those guys credit, they showed up in every way possible. And guess what, they still lost because the Bills found a way to win. Something the Eagles and Niners couldn't do when they were also playing against backup QBs. And even then it's more about it being "the thing to do" or "the place to be seen" than it is about actually supporting the team.

I feel like a lot of people here who are ragging on the Bills’ struggles don’t watch enough of the rest of the NFL. There’s a LOT of bad football being played right now.

They have also trailed in the fourth quarter of all 13 of those games. So there's that.

Bottom line: the Giants should have called a better play.

This the same guy who said "we'll see them again" after we beat them in the rematch last year? He was right. They saw us again. On television.

This drove me and my son bananas. They did show a quick replay and it looked like he was down, and then they cut to commercial and when they came back, the Giants offense was on the field and the announcers said nothing at all.
