Three rookies with excellent reviews for physical talents (Cyrus was considered a late first, Henderson was called first round talent with a 10 cent head) failed to develop. And some point, coaching had an effect rather than talent evaluation.

Also what Marrone did. From what I've read, Roman does a combination of Gap and Zone blocking. I'm curious to see what he does.

I...I...don't know what it means when those two words are put together. Seriously though, I believe I heard something to the effect of "If we went 8-8 in that division, we would have thrown the man a parade" But their loss is our Offensive Coordinators gain. Roman might be conservative in philosophy, but he is definitely innovative with play design.

Well what Pettine Did isn't necessarily what Rex will do. But Carrington was the Heavy 5-technique player before he got injured. That might be it for the base set. Rex does like to play agressive with DBs though. If you're talking about having your best 11 people on the field I really think you show a lot of Nickel and Heavy Nickel. Because A. Williams can do both FS and SS, and Graham can do zone corner and FS, I really see this as the most effective lineup: Hughes-Dareus-Kyle-Mario Bradham-Brown Gilmore- Aaron-Graham-mckelvin- Duke/Darby/Robey (situationally)

I've seen a comic about Bills fans and Niners fans. It is entitled "The Passing of the Noose" I actually feel bad for Niners fans. Here is a team that went from a joke to something special under Harbaugh. Then, their owner flips out over an 8-8 season and they lose some great coaches. Then they start losing some of their best players at an amazing clip. I wish I could be furious at an 8-8 season.

Let's also not forget Kaepernick. He didn't beat out Alex Smith until Smith went down. I don't think that anyone is expecting Taylor to be Brady, or Rodgers. We might hope that he can be Carson Palmer with some mobility.

From Mario's comments, I'm less sure of that. Hughes has said that he plans to be playing an entirely different way from Pettine's scheme. It's hard reading between the lines, but I would imagine that Hughes is going to be used in different ways.

I heard the audio from the questions this morning and, short of going hat in hand and completely taking everything back (which is what they're looking for mostly), there wasn't anything else Shady could do. It's not like he claimed he had hard evidence in his first interview, just his own feelings. Yesterday he said, "I don't regret anything I said then. I'm not going to say anything else about it. Ask me questions about what I'm doing now." Seriously, the only people keeping this alive are the people who wanted it to make a big splash to begin with. It was Steven Smith who made the accusation a national byline, abd it is Rodak who keeps trying to spin McCoy's comments into something. This feels like a 100% ESPN made controversy.

Jesus, it's not like the guy led a HUAC committee. Believe me, the comments I heard were 1) said before by Steven A Smith (whether or not you think he's a troll), but 2) believe me, there were a fair number of people in Philly who believed it at the time. What Shady said is this: I've given my personal opinion. It's on the record. It's based on what I saw in person. Now, we have real sh*t to do. Try to find some real news. It's hard to think of anything that would kill this monster ESPN span out of nothing.

I don't see how you can't love Rex when he's on your side. Yes, I know he can be cocky (see the playoff guarantee), but he goes and does things like this, and the charity golf event and he comes across as 100% genuine. I may not have pulled for him full tilt while interviewing, but I love him here now.

I listen to a lot of Philly sports radio when I drive and what I'm hearing today is darkly funny. A few weeks ago it was "Shut up Shady! Go to the Siberia of the league and focus on your own team, stop being salty!" Today it's "What? He decided to shut up, refused to answer a the question and said he was focusing on his team! How classless!" So far Eagles fans are the only ones I've met who are close to be contending with us for never being happy about anything.

Sorry, I got the story wrong then. But yeah I don't see him doing anything wrong. He didn't want to drag out a non-issue of a story for clickbait. I did have to laugh at him messing a little with Sal because if Rob Quinn, who I think does his writing for free, is better informed it says something.

Hearing from Philly fans I know, Shady has never been the most personable of guys. His nickname comes from his mood, which tends to be melancholic. So, in Philly there was a bit of a **** storm after the Rodak interview which was poorly done by all accounts. Most of Shady's friends and family are still in the area, so I can see why he doesn't want a double dose of Rodak.

Fair enough, but I'll take on the field Shady over on the field Spiller evert day of the week and twice on Sunday. Preferably 20 times on Sunday.

Actually, that gives me hope. I've been using their video player and it's been working pretty well. As an out of town fan, it would be nice to see a game without taking off my pajamas, which will be on because, well, 9:30 AM.
