  1. Maybe putting Fitz in, Gailey gets a better chance to evaluate his O-Line and receivers. The best communicator might have just been picked to be the field general. No doubt Gailey knows that Fitz doesn't have the innate physical skills to be the future of the team at QB, but he probably is heads and tails above Brohm right now in his ability to communicate with his Center, which could make all the difference in those extra three seconds of time back there in the pocket to get the ball to his first or second choice WRs....I dunno, the thought just popped into my head so I spewed it.

  2. I don't take two games of data as evidence of anything too global, actually. I'm not happy with the Bills performance in the past few years, but they have never been the worst, or even the second or third worst team in football. I don't assume, based on two bad weeks, they now no longer play professional football in Buffalo.

We weren't even the third-worst team in the league in 1984 and 1985? How about 1986?

  3. scuse me for not phrasing it perfectly to suit you, you are correct he wasn't CUT, they just didn't re sign him so he is no longer with the team.

If you want to get technical TO had 55 receptions for 829 yards, he had 69 the year before with Dallas.

Those 55 receptions were more then Lee Evans who had 44-612 yards

The point was the Bills didn't RE SIGN their leading receiver from last season

The guy who took TO's place has been demoted to 3rd string and only takes the field when the Bills move to more then 2 receivers on the field

So In regards to your last statement, I disagree. I think it has had serious impact on the offensive performance this year

I'm with you on this one. TO would have forced the defenses to at least commit their best DB to cover him, and that would have helped our offense that teeny bit. Without him, no defense even CARES which DBs cover WHICH Bills WRs, because none of them are playmakers (except Lee Evans on long bombs and no other types of routes).

And Chan, if I recall, named James Hardy as the guy who could simply replace TO out there. So in that regard, yeah, Chan is looking pretty stupid right now, IMO.

  4. Ralph Wilson has failed us. Despite all the apologists on this board, the guy has run the Bills like a money making operation for the past decade. While it is well within his rights to simply go into Bill Bidwell mode and make a tidy profit every year, you simply won't win in the NFL by nickel and diming every aspect of your operation. Until that changes the Bills will continue to lose. I don't even think new ownership would help. Probably the only logical end game for all of this is the Bills relocating.

Agreed on Ralph, one thousand percent. BUT, why is it that you don't think that new ownership would help?

  5. Maybe the offers for our RBs have all been shite. I'm not going to fault Gailey TOO bad yet that Lynch is still here, I suppose. Because Green Bay might have felt their backup RB could hold his own and might have offered the Bills FAR less than what Gailey and Nix think they can get for him down the line. I dunno. But as far as Bell and Vick go, it does kinda suck to see Bell go for nothing after such a good showing, and Vic, well, I hate to see such douchebags do well. It's like Ray Lewis. I hate watching him play because he's the biggest a-hole in the league and still beats the crap out of pretty much every guy matched up with him, game in and game out.
