Wait did you call Hangartner starting caliber?
-
Are you Dick Juaron?
-
You made a lot of good points. Fitz cannot hit a 10-12 yard comeback route to save his life. I know HS QBs who could do it with more success than him. I agree Trent is not as bad as the Bills make him look, but Id rather see Brohm in there.

Im sure the Charger fans felt the same way when they ended up with Ryan Leaf instead of Peyton Manning. Im not for or agaisnt the lose on purpose thing, but your arguement is not a strong one.

I for one am not really concerned with the draft slot as much as I am the front office. We have the weakest Pats team this decade coming to town in a week, followed by the Matt ryan-less Falcons and likely the Indy backups. Now say we get 1 or even 2 wins. Fewell will be around .500 with his record. If he is retained along with the joke of Modrak/Guy/Brandon, what will all those "wins" have done? Will all the "I always want a win no matter what" fans be happy with that? I sure as hell wont. Winning only gives Fewell, Modrak, Guy, and Brandon more of a chance at retaining their respective positions. Forget draft slotting - while we may not have a chance at a Joke Long we could easily get Ryan Clady who is probably the better tackle anyways - What I ask myself is "Do I want Fewell, Guy, Modrak around?" The answer is no every time. I fear that a few petty wins will only keep this team in the bottom half of the league by having those guys retained. That will not help them get out of the dark....

News regarding the San Diego Chargers
High Mark replied to Got_Wood's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Id love to hear your opinion on the current US Government handouts.... -
Wood was/is my favortie player on the team. This basically stems from me having a man crush on lineman and the fact that on numerous plays I would watch as Wood drove some poor DL ten yards downfield before throwing him onto another defensive player. However I feel I may curse him as every jersey I ever buy (Bledsoe, McGahee, Henry, Spikes, and now Whitner) seem to play themselves off of the team one way or another. I dont want to curse the man and be left with another wasted jersey.... So what has everyone heard about Wood/think about Woods injury? My other choice is K Dawg Williams.

A late first round talent taken at the top of the draft IMO. I expect him to have the same type of career Lawrence Jackson is having.

The best QB for the 2010 Bills...
High Mark replied to Armchair GM's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The guy is basically Tim Tebow. Similiar size, similiar system, similiar production, similiar skill set, just plain similiar. People wanna take this kid and are super against Tebow? Tebow did it in the strongest conference in college football, Lefavour in one of the weakest. He is a good player no doubt but I dont think he will have it any easier than Tebow in transitioning to the NFL. The Central Michigan mascot is the Chippewas however..... -
My sister is a Bills fan, she would forgive me. My Mom is a Bills fan too...

BLOW OUT THE CHIEFS, AGAIN PLEASE
High Mark replied to Clippers of Nfl's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Really? Do they give out a shiny football shaped trophy at the end of the season for that? No, they dont. My number 1 concern is turning the Bills into a perennial Superbowl Contender like they were in the early 90s. Every year there is a chance, every game we can win, always a chance to root for your team, and eventually they WILL get that Superbowl. Now when I ask myself "is it better to get John Guy/Tom Modrak out of here and some real scouts in, OR win a meaningless 'feel good' game vrs the equally ****ty Chiefs"...... Its Fire Modrak/Guy. The more we win the more likely they are to stick around. A win will hurt this franchise more than another loss at this point. A loss will ironically help them win in the future. Root for long term success, not short (ie 3 hours on Sunday)term. -
The difference between the Bills and the Patriots
High Mark replied to tomdayfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I thought you were going to say "They cheat and we dont" Cheating is a great way to take 7-9 to 16-0. Spy on Russ -
Didnt OJ win the Heisman? He played at USC... maybe he pre-dates the PAC-10? (Carson Palmer, Reggie Bush, Matt Lienhart, just to name a few other Trojans who have) Either way my list would start with Suh, followed closely by Gerhart. PS - Does anyone remember back in September when one poster ripped on me for saying "IMO Suh should win the Heisman" Cheers to the voters!
-
Maybe he is pulling your chain and really is just hoping ha falls to the Colts - I heard he is sick of Peyton Manning and wants a new QB.

Guys you named with zero chance of NFL success: LeFevour Robinson Guys you named with many obstacles to overcome to achieve NFL success: Snead McCoy Tebow Pike Others who may not declare: Locker Mallet QBs gone by the time Bufalo Picks Clausen Locker (maybe depending on how season pans out) Not so good anymore eh?
-
Yes, he does. He is not an NFL LT. He moves his feet like they are concrete blocks. He couldnt beat out Loadholt at LT - an NFL RT - during his career. He is more of a Duke Robinson.. ie big time college name, 5th round NFL pick and career backup. And aside from make the2nd Freshman All-America team in 2006, he is NOT an AA. Brian Baluga is a 10x better pro tackle anyways. I hope he declares, he has Buffalo written all over him, and Okung will be gone.
-
CLEARLY you did not watch any UFL games. So is Jamarcuss Russels, maybe we can get him too hahahahahaha I think he owes us our first round pick and about 20 mil.

Take tebow in the second round?
High Mark replied to tennesseeboy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If you are a college QB and get drafted its because you were one heck of a college QB (with the lone exception being Jamarcus Russel who always sucked). The key is how is that player going to adjust to the NFL game - not exactly project. Of course Tebow wont run that O in the league, so you cant really project him to the NFL in that way, he will have to adjust his game to the NFLs game. Clausen will have it the easiest because of his pro system. Bradford a little bit harder of a time. Locker an even harder time. Tebow the hardest time. But who do you think has the most resiliency and desire to adjust and get it done? Who do you think has every physical tool to get it done? Who has the intangibles to get it done? Clausen really doesnt have to worry about those physical aspects that much because he has been groomed for 3 years. But you have to wonder about a guy who never won a lot of games, never really brought his team back from behind, etc. I could say the same things about Bradford, because he never really carried his team - his OL and running game did. IMO Tebow has shown me no reason to doubt that he is not physically capable of changing his style of play, he has show no reason for me to think he will give up if he cant do it right away, and I just have a feeling the guy just wont fail. Whether he is a Bill or not I bet he is a great QB down the road if he is given the chance. -
No I have seen Levitre beat many more times than Wood, but I am not OL coach either....both are our two best lineman though. The most over rated player is Hangartner. He is terrible. He gets bowled over every other play. He is responsible for multiple rushed throws and a sack+ every game. I dont even want to know how many assignments he misses in the run game. If he is starting next season fans will start to hold him in the same regard as Preston/Fowler. He is awful.

It's Official, Clausen Entering The Draft
High Mark replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Rams will draft Clausen, so I dont want to focus on him for the next 5 months. -
Now how do you know that he cant? Tebow has never done anything that resembles NFL QB play, but to say he cant to it is crazy. If anything I would say he 100% can because they guy just doesn't accept failure. You wont see him give up on his career like Losman and now Trent have thats for sure. Tebow will be a seasoned pro at taking snaps from center and taking 3,5 and 7 step drops by the third day of the senior bowl if not before. That crap can be learned by complete idiots in about half an hour. Once his throwing motion is re-worked by an NFL caliber QB coach he will be fine. His accuracy is good but will get exponentially better once his footwork and throwing motion are corrected. Arm strength will improve too. Do you guys remember Aaron Rodgers in college? He threw like a 13 year old girl. How he throws now is 100% different. If Rodgers can change I have no reason to believe Tebow cant. NFL teams draft people on potential - see Aaron Maybin - and no QB in this draft has half the potential Tebow does. He will get drafted early whether he should be or not.

Chad Pennington and Derrick Johnson
High Mark replied to billsfan89's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Chad Pennington Jeff Garicia. And yes we could get DJ for 3-4 mil a season - great addition. -
We were also given 3 wins.
