The last few minutes was like watching a boa constrictor subduing its prey.
-
Lewis injury is real no good for that defense
Boy you ain't kidding.
Whole new ballgame.
-
True freshman, Cam Johnston
I love how he runs forward a few steps before he boots it.
Seems like he's tailor made to run the ball on a few punt/fake options.
-
I was always a fan of Robert Quinn in the trade down scenario. Really, I can't say I'm terribly proud of it since EVERYONE seems to have worked out pretty darn well. Cam is turning into a nice pass rusher who's also big/strong in the run game - like Mario but a bit less of a physical specimen.
Loved Quinn in that draft. I would have been good with the Bills taking him or Aldon Smith at #3.
Loved JJ Watt. Loved Wilkerson, Heyward, Fairley.
Loved all those guys.
Buddy should have traded down.
Hell, Sheard, Brooks Reed, and Clayborn went in the 2nd round and Justin Houston lasted till the 3rd round.
-
And paid so much.
He's a decent blitzer and cheerleader but paid as a probowler. He Vilma and smith will be most of Jimmy's dollars
He seems like a decent run defender but in coverage he makes Donte Whitner look like Ed Reed.
Cam Jordan, one of the members of the greatest D-line draft in NFL history.
Early on there was talk the Bills liked him and I would have been fine with picking him.
They really should have traded down that year but Nix said he doesn't like moving in the draft.

God, Roman Harper is terrible.

I guess .. "troubled in college" is the non-nuanced mindset that annoys me. When inspected closely, he really didn't do much that should effect his ability to catch a pass or score a TD. He smoked a little weed (which is no worse than drinking beer).
Marrone had all training camp and preseason to evaluate Rogers vs Hogan vs Graham. Marrone chose wrong. Hogan and Graham will be lucky to be in the NFL in 2 seasons. Rogers is already making a name for himself.
He was suspended by the Vols, admitted to failing 3 drug tests, and transferred to a different school.
What word would you have preferred I use?

I think Mr Wilson would disagree.
Yes he would but I stand by my statement.
-
^^^^^^^^
I understand.
-
Luck is just a winner....I would take him on my team over any of the other young QB's in the league.
And the other young guns are not even close to Luck.
-
I think Colt Lyeral will go undrafted at which point I wouldn't mind bringing him into training camp like we did with Rogers last year. If kid can prove himself and keep clean fine if not no big loss.
There's a joke in here somewhere.
-
If there's outrage to be had, it's that the Colts' true #1 WR going forward was taken two spots after TJ Graham. That guy actually makes plays when they count.
You are correct, sir.
The Bills drafted TJ Graham when they could have drafted Russell Wilson or TY Hilton.
-
Even before Justin Houston and Tamba Hali got injured, the Chiefs defense was rapidly losing effectiveness.
It's like teams figured out their schemes.
Their defensive coordinator is someone named Bob Sutton.
Looks like he coached with Rex and Pettine with the Jets.
-
It's not luck of the draw. There is a skill in evaluating players and how good they are and will be. Marrone is obviously a bit lacking (as was Tom Danahoe and Dick Jauron)
So you're saying that Rogers is gonna have a good career and Marrone is gonna have a bad career?
Look, I have no dog in this fight.
I'm just saying that people might be a bit premature in passing judgement here.
A lot of the opinions are reading as final judgements.
Rogers is a rookie who was troubled in college.
-
Maybin was #11 overall Bro...
Rogers was a UDFA...
HUGE, huge, massive difference there...
There was zero risk in keeping Rogers...None...
It's still the same question.
What if Rogers washes out of the league next year?
-
You mean, what if he plays like Chris hogan?
What if Indy loses next week and Rogers washes out of the league?
What if Hogan becomes a good player next year?
-
He's an undrafted Rookie who signed late with the Colts and was only active for 5 games this season...
This argument has never been about Rogers this season...Though I think it's crystal clear he could have a bigger impact than Chris Hogan...This argument is about the future and the type of player Rogers could turn in to as a UDFA who the Bills smartly picked up, then stupidly discarded prematurely...
However, what if Da'Rick flames out like Maybin did?
This story is still in its early chapters.
-
I think you can criticize a guy and still think you are a better team with them then without. Marcell is a good player and I'd love to see him be more. Da'rick is no doubt not without warts but I think we are a better 53 with him than hogan who I criticize for simply not being that good of a player.
I was just pointing out that there are lots of Bills fans justifiably so pissed off at the team that they'll criticize one of our high performing players for being lazy and in the next breath, criticize the team for cutting a player who was lazy.
It's funny to me.
But I understand it.
-
On the brightside all the da'rick talk has totally overshadowed the Ty vs Tj comparisons
Oh no you didn't!
-
Like "who?" "huh?"
Uh, probably the same people who were talking about the three 4th round QBs last year?
-
It's too bad that Joique Bell never had the same fan boys that Da"rick seems to enjoy. If Dareus was a lazy, non-dedicated UDFA, I'm sure his butt would be gone from Orchard Park a long time ago too. And yet, while he is a bit of an enigma, you can't argue about Dareus's on field performance compared to Da'Rick's
True.
In 3 seasons he has 18.5 sacks.
That's pretty damn good.
-
Indy getting Peyton Manning and Andrew Luck is pretty amazing.
There are plenty of franchises who have never had 1 QB as good as either of those guys.
-
It's kinda funny.
A fairly significant number of people here are crucifying Marcel Dareus for being "fat and lazy."
But we should have kept Rogers in spite of a bad work ethic?
I think the release of Rogers is a fair subject but it's also a lightning rod issue.
