  1. I would expect the Rouseau and Basham to get snaps in rotation.  They'll probably build toward the end of the year.  If by playoff time, they show some serious rush abilities, this years draft will be a resounding success.  Until then, I really like Epenesa as the guy who will make an impact in the sack department during the regular season.  He has good technique and just needs continuing reps at his new weight.  Hopefully Hughes won't fall off a cliff with production and Oliver can step up.  If all the stars align we could be pretty good on d-line.  If not, we'll have to wait one more offseason to get a stud pass rusher.

Where are all those posters that said Beane drafts BPA?  Another pass rusher!  I would have taken the center from OK because I don't think much of Morse.  But I've been beating the drum of needing to address the pass rush for three years so I can live with this move.

Yep, BPA is a great fable that gets retold every year. I like taking two bites of the apple here. Ups our chances to hit on one and if really lucky, both.

What great running back do they have?  And I wouldn't call their line great either.

The coach didn't even trust Rodgers to get them that TD they needed to get to the Super Bowl.

All of that is beside the point.  The relationship is fractured and seems beyond repair.  He's played 16 seasons in GB!  He owes them NOTHING.

And GB owes him nothing. It’s a business. I hope GB tells him to pound salt (that’s old people talk).

BPA.   check.      Biggest improvement to the team.  check.  Improves our offense on 33% of the plays.  check.  Speedy enough to be a wide receiver and is a good pass receiver  check

His 40 speed is listed as 4.46

On one draft board, the top 10 wide receivers have 40 times of 4.40...4.45...4.45...4.44,,,,4.51.....4.48....4.50....4.45.....4.45.....4.49.  six were faster, usually by 0.01 second and 4 were slower.  Imagine lining up on the outside and having him defended by a big safety (all are about 0.1 second slower) or a linebacker (there are 2 freaks who are faster but all others are a few tenths of a second slower). D.Singletary ran 4.66 verus a 4.46

I see no reason why people shouldn't consider him an assist to the passing game as much as just a better RB.

Agree with this synopsis and adding the possibility of a punt returner too.  Never paid much attention to him in that role but saw that in highlights too.  Is he sure handed?

  5. CB's may be 3 rounds deep in this draft and the difference between geting one in the 1st for us at 30 or later in the draft may not be that pronounced.  Edge is the obvious draft need but none are 1st round talents IMO.  So, you roll the dice later for that too.  I could see Etienne being the pick given this thinking.  Don't know who will fall, but if there are only 10-15 1st round grades (which I agree with), then maybe no 1st round talent falls at all, making that a non-option.   Could be RB first and then edge and then CB.

  6. I think most agree that Edge and CB are the two biggest needs.  I personally don't like any edge player in round one.  I just don't see the production or impact.  CB is deep in this draft so there's no need to trade up.  By process of elimination, I'm standing pat or trading back.  I could see Beane trying to get back the missing 4th rounder by moving back somewhere.  This is a good draft for the BPA crowd.  I do think someone will fall and that someone might not be a CB.  Let's see how that plays out.

  7. I just started to see ads (an ad to get to the home page) on my Iphone and computer yesterday.  This thread has only been helpful in that I know I'm not the only one seeing them.  As far as the expereince, I come here almost everyday and although I don't post a lot, I'm very grateful to SDS and all who contribute here.  It's the best best place for Bills news and the rest of the NFL to boot.  Not a problem at all.  Thank you for this forum.

And if there is a defensive mind in the NFL who has shown he is not afraid by undersized linebackers it is Sean McDermott. He wants his linebackers to cover and he has been knowingly looking for a guy that allows him to switch from base to nickel without swapping personnel.

I get where you guys are coming from, it’s just that one of the general weaknesses of the team on D IMO is size. I’d like to see them getting bigger not smaller. I like a bigger DT and a bigger CB. We might get both this draft.

Yeah he was awful week 17 against the Phins...

lots of muffs when he returned punts in Denver, so definitely reason for concern.
