  1. I don't understand why this has to be a "who sucked more" the offense or the defense.  Both sides sucked and there is blame everywhere.  However, when the opposing team walks to the line of scrimmage and says "Hey Buffalo, we're going to run the ball this play"  and your defense can't stop it then you got manhandled and it is an embarrassment.  You can blame personnel, you can blame the scheme, you can say whatever, but they couldn't stop them.  This game goes down in the vast history of unbelieveable Bills' losses.  3 pass plays....we got crushed.

  2. Loved Sanders and Thomas when they were with the Broncos. Was really happy Sanders signed here and am pleasantly surprised about Sanders ability to get deep. I don’t think he did much of that with the Saints but it may have been more a function of Brees not being able to go deep because of injury. Anyway, he brings a total package at wideout with great experience. The Bills took the WR room up a notch.

If they're going to pony up roughly $1B, then that's at least a nice 10% discount.

    If it's a 50/50 split of $1.2B, then that's a 20% discount off their $600M. Not bad.

How the rich stay rich is not using their own money to do anything.  If they raise 120 million, that money invested is $879,368,836 after 20 years at 10% a year gowth (according to my compound interest calculator).  The Pegula's will take out a loan for their part of the stadium cost and use the PSL funds to pay their half of the stadium over the course of time.  Am I missing something?

He's better than Knox and Sweeney when it comes to routes and catching the ball.

    Two seasons:

    Knox     14 drops 94 targets 52 rec

    Hollister 3 drops 99 targets 66 rec

Sweeney is a blocker and short field safety valve, too slow to get open downfield without a blown coverage.

It is what it is. This team is stacked at wr and Allen looks ready to attack. Hollister as a rather weak blocker was not what they were looking for. I think he will have more opportunity and production in Jacksonville so that's good for him.

No matter, it's in the rearview mirror and the Bills are ready to kickoff the season. This is gonna be good.

You should be a GM, you seem to know everything.

My bad. I thought this was about expressing opinions. For the most part, I don’t even really disagree with yours, only in that I don’t think Hollister got any other good offers besides the jags. Cheers 🍻

The Bills clearly had no intention of bringing him back.  With the Jags, he's arguably TE1, with the best QB prospect since Josh Allen.  He's playing the long game.  Good for him.

Bold prediction:  We will miss Lee Smith this year.

I’m glad he’s got a gig but there’s no long game. By the time the jags are any good (or if) Hollister won’t be a featured player. He’s got a chance to start this year…good for him. I would have guessed that if any contending teams made an offer as a backup he might take it to be on a winner. I don’t think any “good” teams made an offer but we’ll never know.

First game ‘after’ OJ ran for 201 yds and 2003 for the ‘73 season.

I was at this game with my Dad, sitting in the Endzone seats Rashad caught both TDs in!

(Sorry for the crappy video. Best version I could find)

I was in the opposite end zone. The old “they let the air out” cliche was spot on after the Braxton fumble. I didn’t think the Bills would win. I remember the crowds were crazy…guys peeing over the side of the top deck and in the walkways (in circles). Was that the game with smoke bombs too?  At some point they didn’t want any more MNF in Buffalo because of the shenanigans.

You're all missing my main point. And cherry picking the multiple "removes" without reading the context. And that's that his good plays last season - the ones that swing his average - came on plays that didn't matter. 50 yard TD runs when the game was well over. 10+ yard draw plays when the D was more than willing to give him that cushion to prevent the ball going down field on 3rd and 12+

Singletary has had 307 career carries. I’ll await your breakdown of those that mattered and those that didn’t.

Remove the first year and remove the occasional 50+ yard scamper in garbage time when the opposing D has turtled (like against the Broncos) and remove the 10 yards or so the D would give him in 3rd and 15+ situations and the like - I'd bet that stellar looking average don't look so stellar. When we needed the tough yards, they consistently didn't come last season. Are some of us maybe a little too harsh on him? Perhaps. But let's not overcorrect and point to his inflated ypc to say he's solid. Tell me what the O-Line did wrong on this drive killer in the championship game?

You can cherry pick anything to suit your purpose.  Throw out his good runs and then yeah, his average declines.  Why don't we throw out the runs with no blocking and see his average climb?  If your point is that sometimes we need someone to grind out a yard or two yards in short yardage, then I agree with you there.  Neither Moss nor Singletary is that kind of back, someone to push a pile for a yard to get a first down.  The Bills should get a bigger back for that duty and I think they have neglected that role.  IMO they thought Moss could it, but I think he's too small too.  As for the drop...he dropped it.  All players screw up.  If you want to vilify him for that, that's your preogative.
