    Bump for the revisions to the OP.

    Bump for the moment.

    Bump for St. Crispin’s Day.

    Tell’em, Bill…

    King Henry V: What’s he that wishes so?
    My cousin Westmoreland? No, my fair cousin:
    If we are mark’d to die, we are enow
    To do our country loss; and if to live,
    The fewer men, the greater share of honour.
    God’s will! I pray thee, wish not one man more.
    By Jove, I am not covetous for gold,
    Nor care I who doth feed upon my cost;
    It yearns me not if men my garments wear;
    Such outward things dwell not in my desires:
    But if it be a sin to covet honour,
    I am the most offending soul alive.
    No, faith, my coz, wish not a man from England:
    God’s peace! I would not lose so great an honour
    As one man more, methinks, would share from me
    For the best hope I have. O, do not wish one more!
    Rather proclaim it, Westmoreland, through my host,
    That he which hath no stomach to this fight,
    Let him depart; his passport shall be made
    And crowns for convoy put into his purse:
    We would not die in that man’s company
    That fears his fellowship to die with us.
    This day is called the feast of Crispian:
    He that outlives this day, and comes safe home,
    Will stand a tip-toe when the day is named,
    And rouse him at the name of Crispian.
    He that shall live this day, and see old age,
    Will yearly on the vigil feast his neighbours,
    And say ‘To-morrow is Saint Crispian:’
    Then will he strip his sleeve and show his scars.
    And say ‘These wounds I had on Crispin’s day.’
    Old men forget: yet all shall be forgot,
    But he’ll remember with advantages
    What feats he did that day: then shall our names.
    Familiar in his mouth as household words
    Harry the king, Bedford and Exeter,
    Warwick and Talbot, Salisbury and Gloucester,
    Be in their flowing cups freshly remember’d.
    This story shall the good man teach his son;
    And Crispin Crispian shall ne’er go by,
    From this day to the ending of the world,
    But we in it shall be remember’d;
    We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
    For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
    Shall be my brother; be he ne’er so vile,
    This day shall gentle his condition:
    And gentlemen in England now a-bed
    Shall think themselves accursed they were not here,
    And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
    That fought with us upon Saint Crispin’s day.

    From Henry V, Act IV, Scene III

    And to paraphrase that great former child star Sandy Lyle from “Along Came Polly”…

    Hey, Stadium Wall Members, aren’t you the fans of that team that never lost again?

    …you’re ***damn right we are.”

    What he said.  Go Bills!!!!!

    I like this technique in the RZ bc once it’s over the line it’s a TD and can’t be fumbled

    Trevor Lawrence was doing that for the Jags but it caught up with him Sunday and they didn’t make it. As others have said, if you get hit in the air, even if not a great hit, it stops your momentum.

  3. McD is a good coach, and from the outside looking in, he cetainly seems like a good guy.  The players like him and have rallied here at the end to put themselves in a great position to make the SB.  Those factors are in his favor.  Great head coaches have to be great managers.  Stylistically, you can manager in a lot of different ways and be successful.  You can micromanage or you can delegate, but you have to see the big picture and adjust.  And in today's world those adjustments have to happen quickly.  It can't take years.  I was out on McD after the Bills trotted out the same failed (in the post season) defensive philosophy/strategies/implimentation year after year.  No changes, and then Frazier left, and to his credit McD took over the duties instead of hiring someone who can't run the D better than he can.  That is a plus in my mind.  What he hasn't done is get someone more creative on the offensive side.  Daboll was a creative mind but we couldn't keep him.  The big picture is that Josh Allen is the Buffalo Bills.  He is one of the the most unique talents, if not the most unique talent I have seen in 50+ years of following the game.  The clock is ticking on winning championships.  We need the best creative OC money can buy.  We need drafts designed to load the offensive side of the ball.  That our receiving corp is not stronger at this point in Allen's career is an indictment.  All that said...please go f'ing win it all this year.  Go Bills!

    This is about right.

    Playing with the calculator, seems like we have smooth sailing if those Steelers at home can beat Bengals next week.

    F’n bungles. Their luck needs to run out. Playing with that calculator the Bills can clinch a birth before week 18 if everything breaks right.  Admittedly that’s a long shot but you never know.

  5. Just my take, since we’re all guessing, but I think the issue is his physicality. I mentioned in a post a long time ago that I thought he could be more physical at the point of the catch. In that same vein,  I think tackling, run support, etc is the problem. Zone is not the issue per se. Closing and tackling out of that could be a problem.  I think McD would like him to be a little tougher.

  6. I thought Elam did pretty well in man covergae last year.  He seemed to be able to maintain good contact with receivers.  One area I think he could improve upon is to become more physical at the point of the catch to dislodge the football.

  7. Tua seems like a good dude and I respect him.  Unfortunately, he is made of glass and you can't protect your whole body when you're tackled.  I guess we'll see what this season looks like, but IMO retirement is the way to go before the next inevitable major injury happens.

    Both solid choices. Of the top 3 LBS, Trenton Simpson is the one I like best, though I hope they make a play for offensive help. Lots of folks griping about Addison, but I'd be happy if he fell to 27. I prefer Washington if you are trading up for TE, btw, but LaPorta is one of the top 4 and I'd be good with any of them.

    I’m really ok with the top three LBs, as we may not be the top choosers but just think Campbell is limited to zone coverage. Sanders is interesting as a rusher, so could have some added value there. I think more aggression on D (per McD) means more man coverage.  Beane is not so great at disguising our top pick, so right now I’d be pretty surprised if it isn’t a LB. I guess could be WR and come back for a LB, but don’t really like the value.  Perhaps IOL in the 3rd and then whatever’s left. Will be interesting this year. Would be great year for a trade back but not really Beane’s MO.

    It’s a bad class. Campbell is highly overrated on these boards he’s a mid to late 2nd rounder in my opinion and drafting him at 27 would be a waste.

    Agree with this take 100%.  Campbell is a more traditional (meaning old school) MLB.  He's not covering anyone in the pros man up with success.  He's lacks quickness with his long legs.  He'll get double moved to death.  Simpson from Clemson or Sanders are better prospects if you want a cover backer.

  10. We have Josh Allen for 6 more years.  Do we believe that if the Bills do not win a Super Bowl in that time frame that Allen would sign here again?  I would doubt it and I would not blame him one bit.  For those of us that don't like the defense scheme, is it reasonable to think that McD could hire a different coordinator with a different defensive philosophy?  I don't think so (see Rex Ryan).  You pick people that mirror how you perceive things.  I just don't think replacing the coordinator works by itself.

    Another poster mentioned this today.  This is a blatant example of "soft".

    Score 14-7, Bengals, the ball at the Bills 14 with 2:48 left in the 2nd quarter, 3rd and 4.  4 receiver set with Chase wide to the left and 3 receivers on the right.  Bills blitz with 7 rushing against 6 blockers.  CB's White on the left, Jackson on the right both 7 yard off the line.  2 other defenders at the 5 yard line.   Burrows gets the snap and stares down Chase then makes quick throw he catches at the 12, he cuts inside as White misses the tackle and Edmunds tracks him down after the blitz attempt failed and brings him down at the 7.  First and goal.

    You want to argue Frazier didn't want to give up the big play which in this case would be a 14 yard TD.  So instead you concede the first down unless 1) the blitz gets to Burrows, which it didn't, or the receiver drops the ball or fumbles or something else which didn't happen.  Frazier's/McDermott's scheme is based on the idea that the offense is not going to execute 10 or 12 plays in a row and will make a mistake but good and great teams in the playoffs don't make a lot of mistakes.  You need to make a play against them.  Not wait for them to mess up.

    And, if IIRC the very next play they lined up in tight man. It’s like NOW you think it’s important to stop them, but the play before you basically concede the first down. I hate this D, always have. The only way it works is if you have an elite dline and we are a far cry from that. The example you cited is one of many head scratchers. As much as I like McD, I’m out. This was the last hurrah. Clean house.

    The entirety of the preceeding events.  What led to this? For all you know prior to this this guy shot someone,  raped someone, jumped someone from behind,  he could have just robbed them with a knife or gun for all you know. Maybe he beat a women unconscious in the next room like Ray Rice. Maybe he walked up and exposed himself. Maybe he put his hand in his pants got the smell of his crotch on his fingers then shoved it in Willies face like Don Lemon did to a guy in a bar. Maybe he sexually assaulted a child. There's a million things that could have happened, we have no idea.

    Or it could have been stupid drama that made this entirely unacceptable.

    Maybe the guy did nothing and Wiilies group hunted an innocent man down.

    We'll know when the facts come out.

    Like a normal, reasonable adult, I'll reserve judgement until then. I won't be campaign for him to be fired from his job and thrown in prison until i know what actually happened.

    Or you can act off emotions and bias and demand he be fired, never work on tv again, and thrown in prison for 3-5.

    Art, you’ll never be my latex salesman.
