  1. it's not where his feet are, it's where the ball is. Maybe next though, we can start investigating whether the crowd all conspired to blow Norwood's kick to the right.
  2. I agree and you don't see fan's signs on the dasher boards in hockey - right? This is no different.
  3. There is probably not one Bill on anyone's FFL team (I had Evans a long time ago), but most people are not just trying to get TEs, but DSTs, and RBs in their lineups against the Bills. The Jets defense against the Bills? Circle that one.
  4. Name me another NFL team that would start Kelsay at LB. Slow defensive ends shouldn't be in the NFL and I don't blame Kelsay, but him playing LB for Buffalo is all you need to know why the Bills are the laughingstock of the league and could go win-less this year. Okay, so the Bills will have the first pick next year - right? If they think they know what they are doing having Kelsay playing LB, what makes you think they won't screw it up again in the draft and take another RB, CB or trade down?
  5. What is done is done and now the question is - are the steps being taken to right the ship and stop the floundering? So far, even the staunchest supporter has to be questioning that. Chris Kelsay at linebacker and you want to be taken seriously? The only way the Bills win this year is if some team sees the Bills as a another bye-week and don't show up. Really, in all seriousness, it looks like the Cleveland game might be our only chance this year.
  6. another our QB and OL suck post? Yes, our QB and OL suck and were not addressed in the draft. The fact that Chris Kelsay is trying to play linebacker is probably all you need to know this team this year.
  7. if the Redskins get Vincent Jackson, they could go pretty far...just sayin'
  8. Who exactly from the Bills is talking about trading Lynch? Is there someone in GB's front office talking about a Lynch trade? Where exactly is the trade talk intensifying? - On this site maybe now that someone posted the Buff News link? I know, let's call the Buff News and have them put up a story about how the Buff News writers are lazy - and that talk about them being lazy is starting to intensify. Then we can talk about it here so the talk about them being lazy will really intensify.
  9. With Schobel gone the Bills saved about $8 million that they could have used to shore up the passing game. For whatever reason, it appears that they wrongly thought that they could compete in the league with what they have.
  10. Out of all the current Bills, I have always liked Lee Evans. He seems like a stand-up guy and I have been to plenty of games where he really tries to help out his QB. Yes, the OL and QB suck and Lee has seen many coaching/QB changes, but Evans gets paid millions upon millions of dollars a year to keep his head in the game. Why would you feel bad for him? (he got almost 10 million dollars to catch 44 balls last year?) If there isn't a QB - or players to protect a QB on the Bills right now that can block long enough to hit Evans on a slant and move the chains, then these players do not belong in the NFL and the do-nothing coaches/front office staff that could not see this, do not either.
  11. TE and Losman seemed like they both become deer-in-the-headlights after a while with Edwards having been hit too many times. As far as talent, Kelly Holcomb was better than these two at getting the ball out where it had to be.
  12. What is hard to understand is how it took this long to see TE was not the answer. Anyway, Fitz appears to be more mobile and could be able to move the chains.
  13. Yeah, that is why the thread says: "Randy Cross calls out Lee Evans, Bills WRs". Now that Fitz is in, will we have a passing game?
  14. Right, I said hindsight is great...and why would the Bills come out and show their hand instead of waiting until the end of the week (after NE game-planed for TE) to announce that Fitz is starting?
  15. Okay, both happened this afternoon, but I'll bet OBD did not want to have to live through Jimmy Clausen having a better game this weekend than TE after passing on him in the second round. Yea, they took "their guy" Spiller, but in the second, there was Clausen just sitting there...with his cocky demeanor and "persnickety smirkness" knocked down just a bit after being passed on by every team. Didn't Jim Kelly also have a linebacker mentality that rubbed some people the wrong way? OBD is already living through Javid Best - and the night and day better performance he has on Spiller playing for the 0-2 Lions. Maybin instead of Clay Matthews...no real help on the OL...etc...yeah hindsight is great and it might be too early to tell what decision was best, but one thing is for sure: the Bills have had a way too long of a period of bad decisions that have led to bad performances and sub .500 records. Just when you think the Bills have finally hit bottom, they just keep finding a way to go lower and lower.
  16. okay, I get it...it's going to be a long season. Maybe my expectations were too high? Just changing coaches and having better game management I thought might be worth two games and still might be, but does anyone in their right mind think the Bills are moving forward instead of backwards right now? Seriously, besides Jairus Byrd and some of the younger players, are there any players that you really like right now? Was I wrong to think the Bills would be better than this? Which upcoming games are you looking forward to? Maybe the Browns in week 14? Is that it? Maybe the Lions in week 10 (how good does Jahvid Best look)? Edit: Here are the remaining games - @ New England Patriots New York Jets Jacksonville Jaguars @ Baltimore Ravens @ Kansas City Chiefs Chicago Bears Detroit Lions @ Cincinnati Bengals Pittsburgh Steelers @ Minnesota Vikings Cleveland Browns @ Miami Dolphins New England Patriots @ New York Jets
  17. okay, I get it now...opposing teams are going to assign their best DB to Lee Evans every game so we should expect no catches from Evans every week. Thanks for clearing that up for us. That is almost as good as hearing for years how we need another WR to pull coverage off of Evans - so the Bills go out and sign TO and Evans has his worst year ever - catching a career-low 44 passes for a career-low 612 yards and seven touchdowns last year. The last time Evans actually worked to get open was when JP was here. Now he is coasting on his millions of dollars. If you want to get paid like an elite WR, maybe you should try and get open, come back to the ball or try and make a play. Question: what does 4 catches for 34 yards so far this year mean? Answer: Evans is on track to go from 600 yards last year to 300 yards this year (with a salary cap figure of $9.87 million - do the math).
  18. Sure looked like the Bills were trying to showcase Lynch at the start...and the few plays he was in on might have helped any trade partner still on the fence. Whatever the plan is, fans want to see some improvement happening soon - after watching the Buffalo offense end up ranked 25th, 28th, 30th, 30th, 25th and 30th the last 6 years.
  19. These numbers have been pretty well published...the $19 million figure I mentioned was just the estimated guaranteed money. 2008-10-02 19:28:00 Adam Schefter, of NFL.com, reports the Buffalo Bills have signed WR Lee Evans to a four-year, $37.25 million extension that includes $18.25 million worth of guarantees. Evans will make $27 million over the first three years of the deal. He is now under contract through the 2012 season. 2009-02-15 16:23:11 Mark Gaughan, of The Buffalo News, reports Buffalo Bills WR Lee Evans has the highest salary cap number on the team at $9.87 million. 2009-12-15 12:03:02 Jerry Sullivan, of The Buffalo News, reports Buffalo Bills WR Lee Evans has averaged less than 40 yards in his last 22 games. Evans has just one 100-yard game over that span.
  20. Evans- $19 million...zero catches - Buffalo receivers all cash a check, when is someone going to step up? Edit - comment made during the video recap.
  21. So when the Bills do find someone with ability and "coach them up", will we start to have pro-bowl players or will we trade them to Philly?
  22. I just hope the Bills got their fair share of the revenue from the sale of that jersey (or maybe Norwood made a few bucks).
  23. yea, cavemen used to club each other over the head too...but this could be the first step in limiting alcohol in Orchard Park. It could get worse (tailgating isn't even allowed in Toronto).
  24. Both happen: ...and with the number one pick in the 2011 NFL draft, the Los Angeles Bills select Jake Locker.
