  1. Yet while TO was busy "destroying" the Eagles in 2005 (something which BTW was refuted by the Bills' Justin Jenkins, who was with the Eagles in 2004 and 2005), he was only among the league leaders in the major receiving categories. Moss' time in Oakland revealed him to be a bigger douche (albeit a very talented douche) than most figure TO is.
  2. You didn't realize that after his copy-and-paste of Revis' and McKelvin's rookie stats?
  3. Like your "McKelvin got burned more often than not?" We're still waiting for that breakdown from you. But again, the problems with the Bills were on offense. But feel free to argue which games were just an Angelo Crowell away from being wins.
  4. Exactly. How about Reggie White going against Richmond Webb or Bruce Armstrong?
  5. If you say so, chief! And in the end, even if Crowell had played, it wouldn't have affected the win total for the Bills last year.
  6. Yes, giving-up before things ever get started avoids a lot of painful...pain.
  7. I don't know. Maybe if Crowell hadn't pulled the stunt he did, by deciding to get surgery THREE days before the season started, Ellison wouldn't have been put in the position he was. Crowell took all the starter's snaps in the off-season, training camp, and pre-season. And the defense wasn't even the problem with the team last year.
  8. Be a pessimist. It's the safe and easy thing to do.
  9. If Shanahan is looking for total/top authority (again, like he had with the Broncos), the Bills don't want him.
  10. Crowell still isn't 100% from his surgery. Hill was always planning on re-signing with the Seahawks. And Foote is done. But hey, there's still Derrick Brooks!
  11. I doubt that's what Tinoisamoa really meant to say. Because it's not like he was in high demand, and a truly great player (which Tinoisamoa is not) like TO signed with the Bills. I think he truly meant it, i.e. that he felt bad that someone who had been there longer thought he was getting the starting job (I assume he meant Ellison) and that he felt bad taking it away from him without a fight. In any case, it's still a lame excuse.
  12. Why did anyone ever "think" that Ellison was penned-in as the starting SSLB this year? Did Jauron, Fewell, or anyone else ever make that claim? Or at least, that I missed? Because I never heard it.
  13. There is no comparison between Bruce playing RDE (going against a team's best O-lineman in the LT) in a 3-4, with only 2 other guys on the line to occupy the opposing OL (not to mention playing next to the woefully undersized Jeff Wright), versus Reggie White playing LDE (going against the RT) in a 4-3, with 3 other guys occupying the opponents' O-line, and some great players on those DL's no less. Imagine Bruce with Ted Washington at NT all those years, or Washington/Adams and Williams at the DT spots.
  14. The Bills made Tinoisamoa the best offer out of all the teams. He didn't like that they "gave him the starting job." Sometimes players don't want to go to a team for whatever reason, and it's not always about money.
  15. Nelson has been spending a lot of time with the WR's. So he likely won't be put in situations where he'd be asked to block much.
  16. Here is an article about teams who changed their O-line drastically the past 2 years. It's from a fantasy website, but the analysis applies to real football: http://www.ultimateffstrategy.com/Look_Bac...ne_Rankings.htm In 2007, it didn't work so well, but it did last year. And if you look at their projections for 2009, they put the Bills in the "fair" (the middle of 5) category.
  17. Snyder hired a legendary coach in Joe Gibbs, who knew how to coach SB winners and pick players. He also hired Vinny Cerrato, who won a SB with the 49'ers in 1994. Yet despite the money spent on GM's, coaches, players, facilities, etc., he hasn't had much success. So what is it in the Redskins' case again? Maybe, just maybe, it's harder than you make it out to be. And are you predicting a playoff appearance for the Chiefs this season? After all, they signed the main architect of the Patriots, Scott Pioli, to be their GM. Surely if Dimitroff was the reason for the Falcons' success, Pioli will have the Chiefs in the SB within a couple years. Oh and as for Parcells, I guess he planned on the Jets signing Favre, releasing Pennington, and Brady being lost for the season. What do you think of their chances of making the playoffs this year?
  18. Yeah, especially since I've been saying that for the past week.
  19. The 2nd part wasn't hating on him. It was commentary on the state of ESPN, "The Worldwide Leader In Sports." Good to see they might have finally hired some writers who actually do their jobs. Although I know Tim is moving back to Buffalo, so he has a reason to be interested in the team more than the average ESPN writer.
  20. Why would I not have the (what, don't have the "testicluar fortitude" to say it) balls to call Tim a "pats fan?" Will he stop being my best friend? Beat me up? For that matter, did he ever claim anywhere that he is a Bills fan? Or not a pats fan? Did he "have a quick first step" when defending everything bad that was said about the Patriots on this message board while slamming everything related to the Bills? I would guess Tim wouldn't mind being called a Pat fan. Funny that you take such exception. Methinks the lady...
  21. Hate to break it to you chief, but Erie County would cough up the cash if Ralph held their feet to the fire and demanded a new stadium...or else. Even with the economic disaster that is WNY. So using the "the taxpayers voted for it" is about as dumb an argument as one can use. But totally predictable on your part.
  22. Fine. What are your thoughts on Dan Snyder? Would you say he doesn't want to win? Would you say he doesn't do all he can to win games? I mean, he's owned his team for over a decade now and his team hasn't even come close to making the SB.
  23. Gee, did he proclaim "the Patriots are America's Team!" during the segment, and laughably defending their cheating? You know, in a calm and rational manner? Amazing, ESPN's AFC East writer actually knowing about the teams he's covering. What a concept!
