  1. Obama showed his ass when he went to the (dinosaur) AMA and told them to expect to make less money, but that tort reform was out of the question. At least those fossils had the gumption to boo him (and then laughingly endorse his health care plan).
  2. The funny thing is that Vick had a .618 winning percentage, on an average team as you said. And he actually won a playoff game. That should make him a god in Mr. WEO's eyes.
  3. I hate Kobe Bryant, but I viewed the charge against him with skepticism, and eventually she was shown to be, shall we say, of less than stellar repute.
  4. You'd think that for a TV repair woman, being able to tell people you banged Big Ben would be the opposite of defamation.
  5. I didn't (and likely won't) watch it. What was the story with the real estate agent? On Jimmy Kimmel live, he called her an "idiot."
  6. From what I recall, Collins was from some tiny school, and he didn't even do much there. He had good size and speed, and that was about it.
  7. Wow, all these people with crystal balls. Or is that no balls?
  8. I never said that the Bills wouldn't have won more games with a better player than Ellison. Or that I think Ellison is who should be starting for the Bills again. What I was saying is that he was the best option they had, given the circumstances, and that the defense wasn't responsible for the majority of the losses last year. The offense was.
  9. I'm actually excited to see what Fine can do. While not a homerun threat, he could do some damage to defenses.
  10. The point is that Crowell was not healthy, Ellison hadn't taken more than a handful of snaps with the starting defense up until that point (half a week before the season was scheduled to start), and still the team won 5 straight games and another 2, which matched or bettered their wins from the 3 previous seasons. Meanwhile the offense sputtered badly and cost the Bills wins. In short that Ellison, while not the guy you want starting (and I've never said I wanted him starting) was not one of the main reasons the Bills lost games last year.
  11. Fair enough. Let me ask you Skoobs, who said they were "happy" with the defense?
  12. Well the fact of the matter is that Crowell was NOT healthy last year. If you want to talk about what a healthy Crowell could have done, I'd instead rather talk about what a healthy Schobel would have done. We could also talk about what Ellison could have done had he been the starter in mini-camps/OTA's, training camp, and pre-season.
  13. Sure fire statements and predictions don't involve "probably" or "likely." But if you want to hang onto the most infinitesimal hope that Crowell in his damaged state would have helped the Bills win more games last year, but all means, have at it. I'll merely go by what he, and the Bills, accomplished in the 3 years while he was perfectly healthy.
  14. I agree that what was discussed in the article wasn't unique to black people/marriage. What could be unique is whether there is a greater breakdown of traditional families among blacks, i.e. with single mothers raising their children, and wheter the males they raise see this and don't want to be a part of marriage themselves.
  15. Go back to polishing your Beemer, Skooby.
  16. Neither can you. But past performance is considered a predictor of the future. Crowell has made few, if any, game-changing plays, and what he has made are on the order of what Ellison has provided. And again, Crowell had a bum knee. He would have contributed even less had he played, and ended-up contributing nothing because he decided he needed to have surgery after delaying it for so long. And that I don't need to predict.
  17. Fine, we agree that the chances that Crowell would have helped the Bills win more games are "pretty remote." You win.
  18. Um...yes, since he has never won a game outright for the Bills when he was healthy for 5 years, the likelihood that he would have done it had he played last year on his bum knee (assuming he kept his mouth shut and played out the season instead of making his announcement 3 days before the season started) are pretty remote. I know some people still cling to the idea that the Bills screwed Crowell over last year, when that was hardly the case, but let's not rewrite history here.
  19. Anything less than a double-digit win season and/or the playoffs and he's gone. And again if Shanahan wants full control, the Bills don't want him.
  20. Substitute "I'm not going to waste my time breaking down the Bills season..." to "I can't break the Bills season." and now we're talking. What games has Crowell won for the Bills in the 5 previous seasons he was with the team? Bear in mind that the team has only won more than 7 games during that timespan once, and that was in 2004, when Crowell didn't even start a game.
  21. No need. You've self-inflicted enough damage.
  22. Yes. My sons take them in 8 and 10 years.
  23. Yeah it would...about 2 months ago.
