Michael Moore

I was watching Fox News Saturday morning and one of the anchormen said he was invited to debate Michael Moore at some college for charity. He said that he went and had a lot of fun.

He then said that Michael Moore received $30,000 for the debate that did not go to charity, and also was flown to the debate in a private jet, paid for by the college. The anchorman said he was not paid for the event and had to pay for his flight.

Is it also true his website is hosted by a Canadian company?

Man of the people?

Michael Moor is a disgusting excuse for a human being. He's a self-proclaimed socialist, yet takes $30K for a speaking engagement? What a bufoon.

I can't stand the !@#$.

Tough to whine about outsourcing American jobs with any credibility...

It's all extremist hyperbole! I have yet to see either Fahrenheit 9/11 OR the Sinclair piece. I won't, either...

So in other words, this no-name anchorman, who cannot get a time slot during the week on FOX, and does not rate enough on an importance scale to have a college pay for his plane flight to an event, which they do routinely for no name speakers, is complaining that he neither forfeited nor gave money to charity and Michael Moore neither forfeited nor gave money to charity at the event?

And if neither guest was asked to give or forfeit money to charity, I could only imagine that they charged admission and then gave that money to the charity. If that is the case, I would hazard a guess that 99% of the admission money that went to charity was because Michael Moore was there and not the no name FOX saturday morning anchorman.

A Men.......This no named anchor does not have the drawing power that Moore has, in other words no one would come to a debate with the headliner being said no named anchor from FOX News. If you want a big draw name to participate in your event, you pay, you pay to get them there, and you pay to feed them, and you pay for whatever the draw wants. Please do not tell me you guys have a problem with a man making money.

I am quite confident that he gives a great deal more to charity, than you or I!

You don't have to like the guy, but.........the truth hurts, this man is popular.

The only name I know on Fox News is Bill O'Reilly....so this guy could be well known to everybody but myself.

I work in fundraising, and we never have to pay celeberties to show up at our events, they just do out of kindness towards the charity.

Michael Moore claims he is a man of the people, and that he represents the average american. Well Mike, the average American doesn't get paid $30,000 to speak and isn't flown around in private jets. I'm not against him being paid for these events, if he wants to make money off them fine. But to accept $30,000 for a speech and to critisize the rich saying he's a "man of the people" and critisize the goverment for sending jobs out of the country when he himself sends his business to a CANADIAN company makes him one thing:

A Hypocrite
