Edwards and Losman -- feels good to have both

chance? what are you talking about?

what chance?

Random chance within the game. For instance, Favre's hand coming down on a lineman's helmet when he throws the ball which breaks a finger in his throwing hand. A 350+ lineman falling on Favre's knee and tearing a ligament. Things that are out of Favre's control which "toughness" can not protect against. Any QB who suffers injuries such as these has no control over them and it's just random chance that gets them injured.

Actually, three or four seasons ago, Favre did break a finger on his throwing hand when he slammed it into a lineman's helmet. He continued to play the rest of the season and got them to the playoffs.

The moral: Brett Favre is tougher than a 3 dollar steak.

Again, it has to do with how badly the finger is broken, which finger, etc. There are some injuries "toughness" just won't allow you to play through. If it's just a matter of dealing with pain then yeah, Favre is the man.

His injuries at Standford were mostly the result of a terrible team (specifically, O-Line) around him. He was killed on almost every play. Go back and watch some tape.

If you did watch the games or the tape, you would notice that as much of a reason that his team stank, he was overly stubborn in the pocket, willing to take those hits, and took far more hits than he should have. He's also not exceptionally quick or elusive. He's tough as hell and fearless. That stubbornness is very noble and win you a lot of respect from your teammates and fans, and sometimes your coaches. But it's also a major reason why he gets hurt a lot. And it's far worse and more likely if he plays like that in the NFL.
