RVJ Posted July 26, 2008 Share Posted July 26, 2008 I had a canon and a kodak . Both ended up with a frozen lens that got stuck. It cost almost as much to fix it than buying a new one. I did a search for this problem and saw several brands having this problem. Is there one, someone can suggest, that has a good track record in the lens department. If so I've had two -- one Fuji Finepix, which is still running strong after three years, and one Nikon Coolpix, which I just got in May. We were driving around and came across the perfect scene. Lush green hills with grazing cows and a chateau hill up on a hill with fog and mist. The once in a lifetime shot.
