Come on guys. We gave NE a scare.  Special teams improved, the running game was there and minus stupid penalties we could have won.

This team is better than you think.

Of course we still have the Statue taking snaps.

We will beat the Jets.

But what we have to remember is that again, we scored 10 pts on offense.

We cannot win if we have to rely on pts from def/st.

We did hang in there with NE, but only because our special teams returned a kick, and Moorman ran for a 1st down that lead to our only TD.

Our Oline did look improved, however, in the 1st half.

They beat us 30-3 in NJ last year. Is this a differant squad than last year? So far it's not. We will need to get after Pennington and contain Curtis Martin. Santana Moss is coming into his own also. Anthony Becht always seems to come up with a score against us also. Yes we can do it but lot's of improvement has to be shown by 4:15pm Sunday afternoon.

As long as they had the threat of a run coming at them, the Pats "D" line and backers were held at bay, but once we were forced at the end to go to the pass, they came hard and destroyed the O-line. How many times were we going to let Harrison come free inside the tackles and have a free run at Bledsoe. That he was able to complete any passes at the end was nothing short of a miracle. In obvious pass situations, with both Teague and Jennings out, we were dead in the water. Price barely does an adequate job at RT, and simply stinks at LT. Jennings is truly our best pass blocker, and actually is a good one in this dept period.

I hate to say it, but between all the dumb penalties (another first down run on 3rd & short called back for holding - argh!) and Bledsoe still showing inaccurate throws too often, coupled with him and Moulds being out of sync twice (how can that be at this point?), we just didn't take advantage of the opportunities we had. While Bledsoe really is pissing everyone off, it's tough to hold him totally accountable when there seems to be one or two guys getting free runs at him far too often, especially on every key pass.
