If you get a chance to see him live, be sure to do so...he won't live forever. Sonny's music is outstanding and his story is pretty good, too. I won't bore you with all the details. Speaking of legends of jazz, I'm psyched to see Ahmad Jamal play live @ Blues Alley in a few months. He'll be there from December 26 through the 31st.
