I bought 3.00 points ... so if the Bills lose by LESS THAN 12 points I win the bet? correct? they dont even have to win, as long as they dont lose by 13 points?

I live in vegas the last moneyline I seen on the bills was+360.So if you bet 100 on the bills you get back 360,but the bills have to win outright.

+360 ? That places the spread in the vicinity of 12 if I remember correctly. Either a good price or I am seriously overvaluing the Bills at 9 or 9 and a half.

Damn you Stadium Wall for corrupting my judgement.

Ok so if you are betting $1.10 and you are only getting $1 back then you are losing 10 cents ?

oh please let me message you somehow to bet on the potential for the sun to rise in the east, west, north or south tommorrow......

Oh I see ... well thanks for the no-betting advice but we would never bet more than we could afford and because 3 of us are splitting one bet its only about $33 a piece.

I guess almost every young guy has to give this a try ... just remember that

gambling is a losing proposition. The ONLY people who consistently make money are the casinos and the bookies. That is why they do it.

Please set aside what you "plan to lose" and after you lose it then stop betting.

good luck :(

Oh ok ... So are the money lines always 110? What if it was 220?

Anyway. Is there anyway to earn more than $100 this week if the Bills win or another team ... there is a matchup we like this week and want to split the bet on it, but we were wondering if there was a way to make more than $100

So for all the time, but I really appreciate all of yours help

Haha. I really appreciate all of your worry's about us and our money. I really do. But no need to worry - we have a small account that were putting very little money in and if we lose it,then its over. If we win a little then we will put that little in the account and keep playing. If we lose it all, were gonna call it a year and thats it.

Now to bet on the Bills .. this is what I want right?

It looks like if you bet 50 and the Bills lose by 11 or less, you will get your original 50 back, and $29.41

Somehow you are playing a teaser....which means basically inventing your own pointspread.....since the Bills are +12, you will only win 29 instead of the 45 you would win by taking +9

There are national sites like Bodog that will be easier. Go to Vegasinsider.com, and they usually have a good tutorial on what the different bets are.

And to explain the money line a little further....if you bet in Vegas or online...you DO have to bet 110 to win 100 when playing the regular pointspread. This is in case you lose, the 10% is already built in, but if you win...you get your original bet back with the extra 100. Now if you were betting with Uncle Vito from 7th St, then you bet the 100, and add the 10% after the fact. Same result.

You can win betting football because of the human error involved in making point spreads. The only game a casino will go belly-up on is Sportsbook. They can't lose on slots or roulette or any other game over time. Maybe one of those Asian card games if some experts play them, but for the most part gambling should be fun, not a profit maker for the player.

I rarely bet the Bills because I want to enjoy the game for what it is and not worry about cash.

Next week....Superfectas!

This is a very good point IMO.

I do not bet on the Bills(unless I buckle to my emotions).

I have always found that when you bet on your own team...

If you win you are ecstatic anyway & the extra money is totally meaningless to your state of euphoria.....

If you lose, you feel like shiit & it is compounded by the loss of cash.

Basically there is no benefit if you win but there is a detriment if you lose.

Also emotions tend to warp your judgements when betting on a team you love.

Yes, that is correct. If the Bills lose by less than 12, you will win $29.41 (you will have $79.21 in your account, in other words, if you started out with $50). But it's just silly to buy 3 points like that. The only way it's worth it for you is if the Patriots win by exactly 9,10,or 11 points. Otherwise you cost yourself $20.59 for no good reason at all.
