Quayle had just stated that his age should be of no relevance because Kennedy was younger than he when elected to the Presidency. Bentson cocked his head to the side, smiled wryly and must have thought to himself, "Did this dunderhead just tee it up for me, or what?", and then delivered the line. Beautiful.
