Wow this video shows how bad...

And yet, with all the complaining, Bennie had his guy perfectly sealed off.

Not quite "perfectly". His footwork just plain sucks. His legs are splayed about 3 yards apart and thus he has zero chance of moving his guy. (Try pushing a wheelbarrow full of cement while doing the splits.) And after the initial contact, the defender pushes him right back into the seam. This causes Trey to have to take a little wider trap (which he makes even wider for some reason :w00t: )around Beanie's left leg which allows Diggs clear inside position to fill the hole and crush Willis in the backfield.

Trey missed his block badly (maybe he thought the Bears LBs were as slow as he is?), but a contributing factor was Beanie's poor footwork and not driving his guy out of the hole at all.

You want to see how it should really be done, watch Alan Faneca.

Again I don't think his job was to "drive him out as that would open a lane for a linebacker. He was supposed to just seal off which he did 2 yards from the LOS. And you're going to complain that his feet are 3 inches too wide apart. Sorry but he got under the defender, got a solid base, and didn't release until after the whistle. Stop grasping.

Ok so if you look at this closely, there is a guard i think that is pulling and he completely misses the block, which allows lance briggs to terrorize WM. Who is # 70 last year...? Now it's tutan reyes but who WAS it?

:w00t: That was funny. Our line is gawd awful and has been for several years. The second video is even worse. Three guys bunched near the line, all run forward looking for someone to block, Vashar runs past them and blows up Willis. The 3 guys were Gandy, Evans and someone else. Just awful.
