The Skins must be up against it capwise after all of their signings. If we were creative, it might actually work. Anyone seen him play much? Comment: Dockery has excellent athletic ability for his height and weight. He has the ability to control his body, change direction and move laterally. He has quick feet and plays with a sound base. He is a knee bender and is flexible in the hips. He has good balance and the ability to stay on his feet. He will engulf smaller defenders with his size and strength and wear a defender down at the point of attack. He has shown the ability to make combination blocks, scoop blocks and double team blocks. However, he is not consistent getting to the second level. He has a hard time with one on one blocks vs a two and three technique but has flashed at times and made some domination blocks. His overall pass protection skills and technique are adequate. He did a good job picking up line stunts and blitzs. His first initial step is quick and he seldom gets beat off the ball. At this point I would think Preston starts at guard - the wishful thinking is he blossums into a solid starter. If we had obtained Wells from the Cards it would only have cost us a 6th rounder for a better player. By all reports this is a very deep draft with good depth throughout the 3rd. We would want to be very sure of a players abilities to spend a first day pick on them. The cost difference would also have to be a factor. Any offer would have to be enough to make the 'Skins balk, which would be a lot higher than a third rounders salary. The extra money could help in countless areas.
