Astrobot Posted February 12, 2006 Share Posted February 12, 2006 Charlie Coiner Charlie Coiner is his fifth season as a member of the Bears coaching staff and second as assistant special teams coach. He originally joined the team on February 12, 2001, as the offensive quality control coach following one season as the offensive coordinator at Texas Southern (2000). In his current role, Coiner assists special teams coordinator Dave Toub in preparing the game plan, breaking down film and organizing practice drills. During his first three seasons with the Bears, Coiner assisted the offensive coaching staff with a variety of weekly tasks, including preparation of the game plan, breaking down film, running the scout team and working after practice with quarterback Rex Grossman during his rookie season. Coiner served as the special teams coach and recruiting coordinator at LSU in 1999 and was linebackers coach at Tenn.-Chattanooga in 1998. Prior to his stint at UTC, Coiner was a tight ends coach and recruiting coordinator at Louisville (1995-97). Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
