They could've folded like an accordian last week or even after the Brownies debacle weeks back. Did they? Nope. Road wins (whats that) in Oak and SD....how'd we do in those places? Oh did I mention they had a nice comback win last sunday.

Are you actually trying to twist the knife or is that a skill that comes naturally?

I remember pushing for Saban when Mularkey was hired and being told he wouldn't leave the college ranks.  Apparently Miami knew something we didn't.

he was right-

Saban would never have worked for Teflon Tom where he didn't have complete control over personnel.

you can see first hand how Mularkey's career is being destroyed by total failure of his GM to field an OL with even marginal talent.

They are going places- that's why if we don't do major renevations as soon as the whistle blows after the Jets game, we are going to be in the cellar fo a while.

You are so right. Miami answered the bell after the Browns game. And beating the

Chargers in San Diego was huge. And living in Dolphin land adds to the severe depression of football hell right now.

What hurts the most is that as bills fans we have suffered through 5 years of "rebuilding" and no playoffs, yet Miami has one horrible year, gets a new coach, and now has a team that is back on its way to the top of the division. So how long til the jets are back to being a better team then us?

As soon as they get Reggie Bush. Come on Houston keep losing!!!!!

Probably 6 months until mini-camp starts. Reggie Bush will be running wild for them next year. That's why it will be the AFC East cellar for us if we don't move FAST.

we spanked miami last year and did a good job this year. we split with them and obviously should have won that last game.

you put some solid coaching on the bills, let losman run an O designed for him to succeed in, and bring in a DC who has a clue and we are instantly better.

you throw in some new blood on both lines (i expect 3-5 new SOLID players, 2 or 3 in FA, the rest in the draft) and experience for our tripplets and we are back in the mix.

miami went from crap to middle of the pack with one draft and a new coach, we are still better than miami was last year and can make a big step up.l

Again, comparing the Bills to the rest of the teams in our division is like comparing apples and oranges. They are run by professionals, owned by proven winners in the business world, in HUGE markets, and are willing to make the sacrifices necessary to win.

Which sacrifices have the Bills not been willing to make?

Regardless of how you feel about Miami, Frerotte is still not the answer at QB. Miami needs to make a move and bring in a QB that can lead this team. Im tired of swapping around veterans. I think both Miami and Buffalo miss the days of konwing exactly who was going to be under center for the entire season.

Sacrificing skill positions for building a solid foundation.

Well, let's take the Miami Dolphins, who are the darlings of the moment. Their offensive line starters, by draft round are: 1st, 3rd, 6th, and two free agents, Jeno James and Daimon McIntosh.

And how about New England? Get this: 1st, 3rd, (Matt Light, who is injured, was a 2nd-rounder), an undrafted free agent, and two street free agents. Tom Ashworth, another key backup, was also a street free agent.

The Jets? A 4th, a 5th, an undrafted free agent, an unrestricted free agent in Pete Kendall, and a street free agent in Scott Gragg.

The Broncos? A 1st, 4th, 4th, 7th, and a street free agent.

Atlanta? Three 7th rounders, and two unrestricted free agents: Matt Lehr and Todd Weiner.

The Bills, if you include Mike Williams, are featuring a 1st, three unrestricted free agents (Teague, Villarial, and Anderson), a street free agent in Mike Gandy, and of course the undrafted Jason Peters.

Based on the above, if anything the ownership has shown a strong commitment to making sacrifices to build the foudnation of this team by opening up the checkbook to sign three unrestricted free agents.

The problem, based on the above, is clearly not lesser commitment to sacrifices than other teams. The problem is getting burned by Mike Williams, and the problem is making the *wrong* sacrifices. Its bad decisions that have killed this o-line, not a lack of commitment.

piss poor talent evaluation of OL personnel and questionable coaching from our vastly overrated OL coach

not to mention a crusade to find diamonds in the rough even if it means locking onto often injured players and players who need to moved to new positions.
