Take the reports for what they're worth, but the fact that you're not seeing McNally berating Gandy while he's doing it to other linemen says something to me. Two days into training you can the people who are progressing a little slower. It will all come out in the wash. I haven't seen Gandy, but I am sure willing to give him a few more days. True, but even then I would expect them (and the above posters are some of the smarter ones there) to say Gandy was "alright" and not "impressive."
