May Day 10 Posted September 25 Posted September 25 If the CFL became a developmental league, in the Summer, it would have washed the 70 year history of the CFL, 100+ year history of Canadian Football/Grey Cup and people up there will not support it. It would die a quick death like all these other USA start-ups. I don't know why the NFL, who has been reluctant to start a minor league, would want to go into obscure Canadian markets and destroy a century-old tradition in the process. It is probably as simple as the NFL is more popular in Canada than the CFL and management figures that a closer replica of USA Football would sell better. Personally I am a bit bummed out. I always enjoyed being in a social setting with the CFL on a TV somewhere and being the only one who knows all the rules and can explain them. Quote

Guys with talent the need development still but have run out of college eligibility. Guys recovering from injury that need a place to play to get their games back. Etc… Quote
