Joe Ferguson forever
Pretty big deal. Who will get it, why or why not, when it becomes widely available? https://www.independent.co.uk/news/health/alzheimers-diagnosis-treatment-blood-test-b2482854.html
TheyCallMeAndy
Just lost my wife’s grandfather to that disease, it’s sad to see how stress can rapidly trigger its progression.
Joe Ferguson forever
i think it's a no brainer to get the test. we have some decent but not great drugs. they may work better at an earlier stage and the test can detect the disease 20 years before symptoms begin. hope it comes out soon. Irv
My whole family has had it. My mom died from it. Grandmother died from it. I'd like to take that test to plan for my future/finances.
ExiledInIllinois
Rare... But it's also transmissable from one person to another: https://www.livescience.com/health/alzheimers-dementia/alzheimers-is-transmissible-in-extremely-rare-scenarios 1
