Whether he believes what he says or not, he’s a provocateur poking issues with a stick and riling folks like you up. There are people who do that on the left, too. Your problem is you lost independents and folks who look at the policies you support (and likely see as centrist) and rejected the platform in large enough numbers to put Trump in office. You moved a few steps toward the extreme and likely don’t even know it. Trump got elected to stop illegal immigration and to lower the price of eggs. He’s accomplished #1, though probably to the dismay of many who voted for him, since many didn’t really think he would do it as has been done. So far he has failed on #2 and doesn’t seem too concerned about it as he’s more obsessed about his ball room. Now I’m not too riled up, I’m just noting where we are 10 months into the most amazing presidency ever. Will be interesting to look back on all this a year from now to see where we are and if eggs are any cheaper. Biden royally mishandled the immigration issue and his own physical ability to run for a second term, thus we get Trump. Trump royally mishandled Covid, thus we got Biden. I’m pretty sure people will be tired of Trump in 3 years the way this going.

Embarrassingly so. https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/APU0000708111 https://tradingeconomics.com/commodity/eggs-us I recall you once broke out “for those who believe in science”. The two links above are for “those who believe in math”. That might leave you out in the cold.

The price of eggs was used during the election as a generic phrase for the cost of food/living since no one is only living on eggs. Since you are woefully misinformed, here is a more complete picture of the rising food costs. https://wolfstreet.com/2025/10/24/food-inflation-the-price-spikes-of-beef-coffee-eggs-and-dairy/

You should have just said “general food prices”. I guess it seemed cuter to say “eggs”. How fun. Another good day for those with 401k’s. That’s a boatload of people.
