Then we are back in the driver's seat as we would leapfrog KC for their current wc spot.

Right now our win against Miami in week 2 is huge as it is the only thing that is keeping us ahead of them. As we've all been talking about these next two games are so very important and really would help solidify controllable playoff positioning.

 

...but still I wouldn't mind going 8-0.

Edit: frustratingly competitive in the AFC playoff picture that the "In the hunt" 4th seed is 5-4 while the corresponding position in the NFC is 3-5-1.

Yes. 8-0 with wins over Denver and New England would likely give us the 1 seed. We would win the division by virtue of a better division record and win the overall by virtue of the head to head against Denver. Cleveland would have at least 4 losses with us beating them. Pitt and Indy would have to pick up a loss to guarantee the 1.
