Our special teams are better now than they were then, as you'll realize if you think back to the Titans game. Flutie's stats in 1999 were about the same as Bledsoe's were in 2004, so our passing game was about the same. We have McGahee instead of Antowain Smith, so our running game should be about the same, even with inferior run-blocking. FOr us to do better in 1999 than we did in 2004 means only one thing: our defense was better in 1999.
