when you are replying to a post that already has a quote in it from another post, how do you get that post plus the quote, in your post??  Does anybody understand what I just wrote? :D

I don't know if it works automatically, but you can do it manually by embedding multiple quotes. ie:

 

This is quote 1
This is quote 2.

 

EDIT: It appears that the reply button kills the old quotes... So you do have to do it manually.

 

This is what it looks like (replace the ()'s with []'s):

 

(quote)This is quote 1.

(quote)This is quote 2.

(/quote)(/quote)

Thanks Fez. Was it always this way? I seem to remember when you hit reply, you would get everything??

Yeah, you used to get everything. I think SDS turned it off because posters (myself included) would sometimes make pyramids... :D
