You can't launch into another player and use your head as a weapon. End of story. You might think of these guys as otherwise useless meatsacks put on this earth for no other reason than to entertain you with their eminent brain trauma, but the NFL has decided that your position is ugly and meritless, and have thankfully chosen a rule set that treats their players like human beings, and recognises the fragility of the human brain. If you don't like it, turn off your TV.

thank you

Beautiful Hit. -May have been illegal, but I certainly wouldn't characterize it as "dirty".

This is tackle football, people. -Guys get lit up all the time, and that's a big part of why we watch.

I'm very interested to see who picks up the tab for this fine. This is a fairly young team. If they develop a "band of brothers" mentality, they could surprise alot of people.

Those hits being glorified leads to this:

Nobody wants their kid playing football unless that is absolutely removed from the game.

Oh, come on! That used to happen to me all the time when I was a kid. -I turned out OK.:sick::lol::sick:

So... just to clarify... you don't watch football to see the finest athletes in the world perform amazing feats of skill, or because you enjoy watching fierce competition or chess like strategy played at full speed with human pieces. You watch for the sheer joy of watching other people suffer serious brain trauma?

Sounds... sociopathic.

Can't define porn but I know it when I see it...Well if you want a video that shows launching, spearing, targeting a defenseless player, and hitting the head of an oponent then this is the video

21K is ridiculous

If they want this stuff to stop, it has to be suspensions. First offense you lose a 1/2 game. You can't come out on the field until after halftime. Second offense is a game. Third is four games.

So... when someone questions why you (admittedly) enjoy watching other people suffer permanent brain injures, your response is to offer slurs that denigrate homosexuals?

You're all class.

I'm actually less than 22 percent class. Still, I may be able help you, chief.

Your problem is that your'e watching the wrong sport. For a guy like you I'd recommend college Lacrosse, or if that's too violent, women's field hockey might do it for you. -Perhaps men's. If that STILL doesn't work you might enjoy track and field. In particular the LONG JUMP. Considering your knack for bounding to INSANE conclusions.

*FOOTNOTE: the use of the word "chief" in the second sentence, was in no way a reference to any Native American tribal leaders living or dead. Also, no animals were harmed in the making of this post.

You still haven't addressed the fact that you stated that the major reason you watch the games is for the ultra violent head to head hits, which have been shown to cause permanent catastrophic brain injury (the reason they have been banned). Then when requestioned, you attack what I assume to be what you believe is indicative of manhood in your questioner.

All of this would be acceptable and logically consistent assuming you were the type of person who would gleefully smash yourself in the head with a hammer for the enjoyment of others... Is this the case?

(*sigh*) For the record, I've definitely seen hits that I thought were dirty and inapropriate. -This, IMO, was NOT one of them. Hey, I'm all for protecting players brains, but who wants want to be the guy telling their kid about what football was like before hitting was outlawed? Not me.

It's a tough-man's sport. Be one, or don't play.

Best hit I have seen in a long time and looked perfectly clean to me. Can't stand that a player will be punished for this.

Wow what a horrible call you can't use your shoulder to block someones chest, I think the league is just fining players if they make big hits no matter how clean or dirty the hits are.

once they institute the two hand touch rule on QBs I'm out.

Players should start suing League for lost wages.

looks like he leads with the forearm in the chest to me, the head hits a very close 2nd, and its certainly not helmet to helmet. Definitely a clean hit. Lee needs to keep his eyes open there, its not like tate was hiding behind a tree.

The more I look at what he is trying to do, and what he wants, i really dislike Roger Goodell.

Fining players for clean hits, suspensions without evidence or guilt proven, preaching about player safety and wanting to ADD games, Super Bowls and franchises overseas, ETC.....

The guy is out of control

lets outlaw football now

its a clean hit period.

Football is violent game, every knows the risks even before all this concussion information came out. Men Have died on the field, yet they play on and we keep watching. Maybe you should find another sport.
