Providing you have a QB that can throw him the ball, catching everything in sight is too tempting to pass up (pardon the pun).

as far as effecting the outcome of a game.....

 

a punter averages only 5 punts a game.

 

a fg kicker averages only 3 field goal attempts a game (might go up to 5 if 100% from 60).

 

an offensive player (wr or rb) is on the field for 50-60 plays a game.

 

i think the robo wr or rb would have a far greater impact.
