And again, I've seen Belichick, Parcells and many other coaches go for it in similar situations. They're not. No, they're made contextually and at the end of a hlaf when your stupid opponent doesn't call a timeout, you punt it away and pin them down, which they did. On fourth and 1 deep in the opponenets territory when you're 6-5 and still in the playoff hunt and your opponent is giving up 10 yards a rush, you go for it. Both time, that's the right call.
