cripe--most of those FA moves were the correct moves.you wanna rip Ralph let a real Bills fan do it;)

It's true - the last decade has more to do with Todd Collins, rob Johnson, drew Bledsoe, jp losman and Trent Edwards then any of that group of decisions. Truly about half his gripes were the right call at the time even with the benefit of hindsight.

Most? I don't think so. What happens when you cut bait on guys like that is that you keep yourself in re-building mode.

When you let Pat Williams walk, that facilitates the drafting of John McCargo. So they lose performance initially AND long term AND waste a draft pick that should have been used to improve the team.......not just to try to get back to square one at DT.

When you let Clements walk, that creates a perceived need which the team assumes it can fill with a very high first round pick on Leodis McKelvin. People can hate Clements all they want, but McKelvin has been a huge disappointment on the field(and he missed most of last year injured). Clements didn't finish his contract in SF, but he was their defensive MVP in his first year there and he is still a pretty good corner. They could have...and DID....do worse by not rewarding a guy who played hard, created turnovers and never missed games.

Fletcher.....same story. The guy was good and he never missed games. Losing him lead to trading up to draft Poz. At no point has Poz been as good as Fletcher......and despite being a decade younger Poz is the one who is oft-injured.

The list goes on. Sometimes you gotta let older players go, but when it means creating holes that need to be filled with total unknown first and second round picks.......that's just asking for failure. The Bills mis-handling of free agency has contributed greatly to their terrible track record in early rounds of the draft.

Speaking of McKelvin, Jabari Greer has Julio Jones in his pocket today.
