Posted December 16, 2004 Share Posted December 16, 2004 If I was on some team's practice squad & I had a shot from another team that was thin at my position, and I might actually get to play, I'd be signing that contract quicker than you can say only established players get to choose their team. A rookie should never choose a practice squad over an active roster because he wasn't good enough to make any team's roster at the time that he was waived, otherwise he would have been claimed.
