$71,000 in tax breaks for a pizzeria

What's wrong with that? WNY actually wants to attract businesses and jobs, right?

The project is for $1.7M. I'm sure they'll make it back soon enough in myriad ways. I know a restaurateur here in CT who had to pay $800 for one 'dedicated handwashing sink.' Now, the sink and installation didn't cost that much, it was the $600 inspection fee for that sink and a tiny little sticker.

A new business opening is like found money for govt entities. They're not going to be losing in this. If they have to do a small initial giveback as an incentive, what's the problem?

Yeah, I don't see a problem either. 15 full time positions, 35 part time positions -- all of which will pay taxes. Plus the business will be paying taxes as well. What's the big deal?

Oh yeah, business=bad.
