Victor Conte - Phil Hansen

Did anyone watch Real Sports on HBO this week? It had a significant piece on Victor Conte (Balco). At one point in the interview from what appeared to be Victor's office or home, behind Victor was a signed 90's Blue number 90 jersey. Sure looked like Hansen's, but not quite sure as I didn't catch Hansen's name on the Jersey.......

Just saying....

(Phil Hansen was one of my favorite players through the 90's....)

Wake up and smell the coffee. Almost every athlete that was any good from the late 70's to now used or uses steroids. Baseball, football, basketball, cycling, hockey, track, swimming and golf. To think that steroid use is down is wishful thinking, steroid masking is just that much better and no one wants to test for HGH; not because you can't (you can, it just requires a blood sample) they don't want to test because they don't want to find out extent of the problem. You think Albert Pujols isn't a huge HGH guy? Look at his physique and the size of his head. He leaped onto the national scene because of one reason, HGH. Blame the lague owners, the managers, the team doctors, the players, the sports writers and the university system all of them contribute to thsi fraud. See no evil, hear no evil, smell no evil.

You forgot another entity to blame. That would be us. The sports consuming fans who created the demand.

GO BILLS!!!

Blood opens up a huge issue.. Allowing sports teams to test players blood could turn into a nightmare of civil liberty issues... Where would it stop? What if all employers could test blood samples for all jobs? It gives people access to information from when you last drank a beer to genetic make up.. We all could be denied employment because of some condition others don't need to know we have..

I met Phil before the NFL when he played with the Bisons, and later on after he retired. If he is a juicer, it would be a real surprise. He is articulate, and just muscular, but without the standard excessive bone growth and rounded facial structures.

I met Jesse the Mind Ventura, and that guy used steroids. Listening to him is just another proof how much the stuff screws with your logic centers. People who are juicers are often paranoid, and if you ever have seen his tv show...
