Well, they did raise lots of cash, you have to give them that. They sure are not short of pluck even if they are not overwhelmed with "intellectual horse power" (a phrase that Jen b*tch uses all the time on the Apprentice, I wanted to take it for a test spin). Seriously, Thomas Frank who wrote that "What's the matter with Kansas" book would probably applaud this.

And can one necessarily fault MoveOn for pointing out that the current leadership will not change a losing strategy?

Yeah, but maybe it is trading one losing strategy for another even more "losinger" than the last one.

Considering the verbal sparring the DEMs have had on the editorial pages of WSJ over the past month, it doesn't surprise me. Until the DEMs finish the civil war among themselves, there's no point to consider them to be a viable party in the next election.

Hillary is going to get the Dem nomination in a cakewalk. The Clinton faction holds all the money, and no one can raise it like them. They're going to pull some rabbits out on the internet both learning from and also to offset Screamer Boy. As much as Kerry is ALREADY campaigning for 2008, it's not going to happen for him. That will be the result of the whole show.

The only viable way the Republicans will have a chance against Hillary is to start promoting Condi Rice (except she probably doesn't want it) about 1 Feb 2006. That would go a long way to deflating the novelties.

Also, in 2008 foreign policy will be an even bigger factor than it was in 2004.

Hillary Clinton winning the Democratic nomination is a gift wrapped Republican victory

Think it through. The world and by extension our country is going to be a s.hittier place four years from now. TV will blame it all on the Bush administration. 97.376 percent of the population will believe whatever TV tells them.

If Kerry weren't the Democratic equivalent of the '96 Bob Dole, he'd be getting sworn in January 20th.

One thing I do have hope for (wishfull thinking, albeit), is that 2008 might produce a semi-viable third party candidate.

I disagree with you on that, the world IMO will be a little better. not that it has anything to do with bush or would have anything to do with kerry were he elected

you give your fellow americans too much credit. i put that figure over 99%

maybe bob can council john on how to cope with the loss, and maybe hook him up with some viagra. i know i'd suffer ED were i married to kerry's wife

i've been hoping that since the day i registered to vote. still waiting for progress
