Now they want the money back? People wonder why players are always pushing for more money here is why. 1) Raiders didn't have to draft him. I tend to agree with you guys from an ethical standpoint…the very fact that he had a hard time staying at his playing weight is an indictment of his effort to be a professional football player. But if he didn't have a weight clause, then probably the Raiders are out of luck. Ethically Russell stole money from the Raiders. Legally he was probably entitled to do so.
