Gailey wants a Scat-Back.

Recommended Posts

What if Gailey announced today that he and Buddy were honestly going to pick Spiller? What would happen?

Some people would flip their wig  , some would be ecstatic  , and the others would be on the fence able to argue either side. :worthy:

Mark it down - it's happening. All those in denial be prepared. That quote looks to me like Gailey was telling the reporter they need another back, then realized "Uh, oh, they might realize we want Spiller" and then added "but, there's a bunch of those guys..."

There are a bunch of water bugs, but there's only one Spiller in the draft, and he'll be a Bill after pick 9.

It's funny that you would think he meant that.

I believe that's what's called transference. You want something, and before you know it, you think everyone around you wants the same thing.

He said pretty clearly what he wanted. There ARE a bunch of those guys.

Look what Chris Johnson did for the Titans. A flawed team with a so-so QB - went 8-2 after their break. What a monster! If we could get even a fraction of Chris Johnson in Spiller....

It wasn't Johnson who turned them around. It was their QB.

Johnson played well all year.

But the team only started to play well when they got the right QB behind center.

Wow. He is seriously sudden.

Hmmmm. Antonio Brown..... very speedy....

Wansn't there a guy by that name on the team a few years back? Ran a "4.2 40"?

Anyway, regarding the above A. Brown, there's this (from "mlive.com):

Brown goes on to talk about the school he had scholarship offers from out of high school -- Miami and West Virgina -- as well as the player he models his game after (Roscoe Parish of the Buffalo Bills).

Now we can have bookends on the bench!

I think Gailey's goal is to have Roscoe try and get some of that luster he lost back as a slot receiver. With him there AND a scat back that is a lot of speed (without even talking about Lee) on the field at one time.
