  1. Can't trade Evans, who do we throw to now and in the future, another James Hardy draft pick. Evans is not the problem and the draft pick is worthless because you have no replacement now and would need to use that pick to replace him. Would that player be better than Evans, doubtful. Did you see the play to Evans today, you can't replace that easily. Whitner is good but not great, tradeable, we have extra safeties and DB's we could convert. Replace him and get a pick in the future to use for a O-line man, LB or TE. Think we could get a 3rd to 4th rounder for him.

I'm sorry but I have to disagree...if Randy Moss, Brandon Marshall and Anquan Boldin can get traded, Lee Evans can get traded. Even Wes Welker and Roy Williams had put up equal numbers to what Evans has done, prior to them being traded.

What good is he doing for us right NOW? As far as I am concerned, Evans is as good as a draft pick right now...we would actually be getting MORE value in the draft pick, since we are building for the future. As far as I am concerned, for the Buffalo Bills, RIGHT NOW...the ONLY players who are NOT replaceable, are "playmakers." And...we unfortunately do not have many, if any of those. When I say "playmaker" I am speaking of somebody who can break open a game, so maybe "Game Changer" is a better term.

Based on what I think of the potential of these players, not their play this year...I would "franchise" the following:

*Brian Brown OR Levi Brown - 1 or the other, develop that player to see if you at least have a "career backup."

*Fred Jackson - Great leader/mentor...UNLESS he could fetch something equal to/better than Lynch.

*Corey McIntyre - Good leader and special teams ace...adds intensity needed for this team!

*Roscoe Parrish - I think he is worth more than what we could get for him.

*Shawn Nelson - Has the talent to become a receiving threat.

*Wood/Levitre/Bell/Urbik/Wrotto - There has to be at least 2-3 capable starters out of that group. (plus Wang/Howard)

    *Spiller/Nelson/Easley/Roosevelt/Wang/Howard/Carrington/Troup/Batten/Moats/Coleman/Harris - Rookies...No need to explain.

*Dwan Edwards - "Grew up" in a model franchise, could become great leader and player.

*Kyle Williams - Could make great bookend/leader duo with Edwards if a nose tackle comes around.

*Paul Posluszny - He is a great leader and solid player...and could be better with a pass-rush and d-line.

*Leodis McKelvin - Could become a very good cornerback.

*Jairus Byrd - Sophomore slump...he is a very talented free safety, he will rebound.

*Donte Whitner - He is a great leader, a good player...and with Byrd could form a dominant duo.

*Moorman and Lindell are givens...but will need to eventually be replaced.

**I would keep Maybin and continue to develop him...put some weight on him and don't give up hope yet.

See what you can get for anyone and everyone else...and let's build this thing for the future!

  2. Bullcrap. If we are bad enough to have the number one pick, Ralph will know he needs that franchise face to sell tickets. Trade out of the top spot so we can draft a linebacker or wideout instead of a franchise QB? CHILD Please!

It only took 1 post for the words to come right out of my mouth!

    :worthy:

  3. I was at the game today and as always are D didn't have a clue. I don't think if i'm head coach of a Nfl football team i'm not gonna hire a DC thats never been one before. All our other head coach;s hired OC with no experience, and they paid for it. Our new coach now made the same mistake with defence now he's paying for it. I'd like to see someone in there who has at least done it before and has been proven like Ted Cotrel for thought.

I initially thought George Edwards was going to be alright. In reality, the problem could be him as a d-coordinator, or the problem could be the talent he is working with. I think the problem is most likely the lack of talent at key positions that are needed for the 3-4 to be succesful.

Everyone says the Dolphins defense is so much better without George Edwards, especially the linebackers...most notably the inside linebackers. But they have Mike Nolan coaching the defense, instead of Paul Pasqualoni...and most importantly, they added Karlos Dansby and Koa Misi. I also think missing Channing Crowder has hurt them a little. However, one of their biggest improvements has been their defensive line and especially their secondary. So, of course their defense is going to be better.

I wouldn't put all the blame on Edwards, or compare anything to his stint with the Dolphins and say, "He doesn't have what it taks to be an NFL Defensive Coordinator." I think if he had quality talent at HIS position, he would be a little better. But...if there HAD to be a change...why not George Catavolos?

  4. This is the best article I've seen on the guy and his troubles.

Hence the reason I linked to it in the original post! :wallbash:

I honestly think Washington is a victim in this case, from what I have read and heard.

Now, I don't know if he is an NFL caliber starter, but I agree the Bills might benefit from giving him a shot.

Now there may be more to the story, and a reason no team is willing to sign him (after all, Vick is playing in the NFL and what he did is FAR FAR worse). Maybe the guy has other issues preventing teams from pursuing him. Of course, this could be an NFL blackball, too.

    Hey Dean -

I am happy to see we agree on something...and that you MAYBE think I added a worthy thread to the forum. (Yes, I know it has been brought up before...but I thought it needed to be reviewed again, given our recent failures and transactions.

I certainly think this guy deserves a chance...not even a 2nd chance, he is still deserving of his FIRST chance in the NFL. I really do not understand why NOBODY has given him a shot. I really think he could be a decent player with a HUGE chip on his shoulders. If he were to come in, compete and win a starting job, or any job...and then perform at a respectable level...all the nonsense talk that he may hear, would certainly come to an abrupt end. I do not think it is as bad as it sounds or looks, given the circumstances.

I have a feeling somebody is going to give him a chance and that team will be very surprised and lucky to have done so...I hope it's us!

PS. What do you mean by it being an "NFL blackball?" You think it's Goodell's doing that he is not in the league???

  5. Buddy Nix needs to pick up the phone and call this guy...and make this ONE move to sign Tony Washington...it could drastically change the future of this team, or it could not do a damn thing...but, the Buffalo Bills have NOTHING to lose...so, why not?

    http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/Teams-are-reluctant-to-give-Tony-Washington-a-shot.html

Why not try? He cannot be any worse than Cornell Green and it could turn into a tremendous story...not to mention, if he developed it could turn into an extra draft pick in a roundabout way.

I would completely be on board with this, but then again...I am also one who wanted, and still supports Vick. However, before you go comparing this guy to Vick or anyone else, and saying you do NOT want him in Buffalo or on this team or in your neighborhood...go read his story first and think about his situation, before you judge him.

    http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=5497517

*Can you imagine the chip on this guy's shoulder?

  6. Hey Guys.

I haven't been active on this board for a while but trust that Ive been lurking around reading your opinions.

My take on the bills is that its looking REALLY possible that the 1st overall pick is in our very near future (duh! lol). This is a bad team, and i think it starts top down from the GM to the scouts to the players/personnel. Now before all you Nix fans and Gailey fans start cutting me up, hear me out. First, i am of the opinion that you don't trade lynch and you don't draft spiller in the first round PERIOD. Not when your a team that has a legit starter in Lynch and a very serviceable Freddy Jackson coming off a 1000+ yard season. If we could agree on any position that the bills were set on, RB would be the consensus. From what I've seen of the bills leading up to this season, we needed help in a LOT of areas, and trading the 9th pick in the draft to land more early round selections would have made sense IMO. Anyways, that said.. i strongly believe (and will continue to unless recent evidence comes to prove otherwise) that we were offered more than a 4th for Lynch this past draft. So this trade was a loss!

Secondly, the team drafted troup w/ our 2nd pick. One would expect that a 2nd round pick is definitely gonna be a starter for your squad, but i have barely seen the kid touch the field..this ALREADY tells me that Nix doesn't got a CLUE! Mike Mayock who i think is probably the most legit college analyst out there, had 3-4 other DT rated ahead of him and its clear to see he was right.

Moving on to another bonehead move by nix, he chose to get into a bidding contest with himself for the service of Chris Kelsay. A serviceable defensive player for the bills, who probably would not start on the majority of NFL teams in this league. Paying him 24million is ludacris for his production. I watched the jets game closely last week, dude does not belong on an NFL field playing LB. Honestly, how can I take him serious after this move.

Im going to give Gailey the benefit of the doubt. He really came out of left field when he was announced as the head coach. I was hoping the bills go for Marc Tresman of the Montreal Alouettes, he's been coaching them to championships year after year. But for now, Ill be patient with Gailey.

I really thought the organization was going in the right direction when we drafted Wood and Levitre, I was like FINALLY the team is going to address this horrible line. Losing peters has hurt, but completing ignoring this line in the draft will hurt us more (i woulda loved to see bruce campbell in a bills uni).

BTW it really erks me how we've had so many misses in the first few rounds of the draft. James Hardy, Roscoe Parrish, maybin etc

Anyways, a lot of what I am saying has already happened and been touched on. I just hope we get locker, and draft OT maybe pick up another WR early in the draft as well.

You sound like a complete moron...

Name me one DT we should have gotten instead of Troup, who is playing at a high level right now...or even playing period?

    Is Bruce Campbell even playing?

Putting Roscoe's name in there with Hardy and Maybin? Really?

Then you cap off your genius thread by saying...and I quote..."I just hope we get Locker!"

Wow dude...go get your head examined! Wanna just bring back JP Losman? :wallbash:

  7. just doing some paper work with the nfl network on the tv, i looked up when they where talking about the posibility of Randy Moss being traded to a different team, during this they showed various highlights of randy, one of the highlights showed a long touchtown catch on a snow covered field, wellduring his celebration he chest bumped the patriot mascot, in light of a recent bills game after a td a fine was levied by the NFL because a similar celebration without any contact

there are IMO, hundreds of examples of the love the patriots receive, but seemingly most could be explained away by "bad calls" or they did not see an obvious hold or such

can somebody shed some light on this or am i correct in your opinion

    Wow, really people?

There is no difference between a chest-bump and pretending to shoot somebody???

  8. via Twitcher

DonteWhitner: I could get a fine from the NFL right now if I felt like letting some of u punks kno to leave me the F*ck alone!

    :D:bag::D

I bet you and everyone else on your 2008 Orchard Park Quakers are such better football players, huh?

Donte Whitner would not have even started on your 2008 Orchard Park Quakers, huh?

    !@#$in' idiot! :wallbash:

  9. how does 0-16 solve anything

I agree with the original poster to be honest. I was thinking this earlier and was going to put something up on my Facebook about it...yes, because I get picked on A LOT! However, I think this IS the best thing and what I am hoping for.

I want the overall #1 pick, more than 0-16...I would rather be 1-15...0-16 would be more ammo for opposing fans.

Orlando Pace, Peyton Manning, Michael Vick, Carson Palmer, Eli Manning, Mario Williams, Jake Long, Matthew Stafford and Sam Bradford...all former #1 overall picks, in which the team actually got RIGHT...all of them pretty much to an extent, single handedly change the fortunes of their teams within a couple years. Sure we are still awaiting a verdict of Stafford and Bradford, even Williams and Long...but they sure do look like names and faces you could change your culture and represent your franchise with.

You could even go back further for examples, but I am not old enough to know how those teams (Elway, Aikman, Bruce...etc) were the years immediately before and after those draft picks took place. The Patriots and Bledsoe are another example.

If we end up with the #1 overall and Buddy/Chan CAN GET IT RIGHT...we will be well on our way back to respectability.

  10. Forgive me if this was posted already...NSFW....is it me, or does the apple of Brett's....err...eye...bare a striking resemblance to his wife?

    http://deadspin.com/5658206/brett-favres-cellphone-seduction-of-jenn-sterger?skyline=true&s=i

No, its not you...deadspin even says that same thing in one of the articles.

I have a very hard time believing this is true, and that this DeadSpin site is the ONLY place with knowledge of it.

    Here is the other article...

    http://deadspin.com/5603701/brett-favre-once-sent-me-rooster-shots-not-a-love-story

And there's no real evidence that Favre's been horndoggin' it throughout the latter part of his NFL career. Maybe he was just lonely while he spent time in New York and sought some companionship with Sterger who, if you hadn't noticed, does resemble his wife, Deanna. One thing that is notable is this: it turns out that Brett watched last year's Super Bowl at home in Mississippi. He didn't watch it alone, however. According to one source, he watched the Saints miraculously defeat the Colts in the company of one special guest: Tiger Woods. I wonder what those guys talked about?

  11. Man, this board is total freak out mode right now. Lets look at some hot points and why some people need to just relax. I mean, I was optimistic about progress this season but even I knew that it was very possible it could get worse before it gets better.

    1. How bad we are: This is, and always has been, a rebuilding year. We were never supposed to be any good this year. Sure, there was some optimism, but a lot of things needed to go right for that to come true like a QB emerging for instance. One draft and offseason isnt going to solve this teams problems. So knowing that, why all the freaking out?

I agree with you here, but optimism? My optimism was always about the future of where we COULD go. I would gladly take a 1-15 season or the #1 overall, however you wanna look at it...as long as Buddy and Chan can get that draft pick RIGHT! So far they have done nothing to make me believe that they could do that. I agree that maybe a player needs to be brought along slowly, maybe two or three of them...but your whole draft class? (I guarentee Easley and Batten would be in the SAME position as the rest)

    2. CJ Spiller: Dam, talk about freaking out. Many are already calling him a bust or a back not capable of being an every down RB because they are bringing him along slowly. Those people need to realize there is FAR more into playing RB in the NFL than just rushing the ball. Our O Line is atrocious, and our RB must be able to be effective at pass protection and pick up blitzes consistently right now and thats not something young RB's just come into the league and excel at typically.

Compounding it further, when he is in the back field it increases the likely hood of a run play allowing the D gear up for it...this is because he isnt up to par in pass protection/blitz pickup yet and is more likely in there to run the ball or catch a screen than pass block. That is a massive advantage for the D.

This goes along with what I was just saying. CJ Spiller should NOT have to be "brought along slowly." Chris Johnson wasn't. Jahvid Best is not being held back. Percy Harvin was not held back. What the hell? Let the kid take some hits and get used to the NFL. Our line is astrocious, but Chan Gailey said "CJ Spiller will make our Offensive Line BETTER!" However, I beg to differ with Chan whether or not a player can make ANYTHING better, sitting on the bench.

And as far as the Defense being able to tee-off on what we are doing if Spiller IS in the backfield? Really? You don't think we can throw a Defense off a little bit more if Spiller is IN the ball-game? I beg to differ there too! There is plenty of game-film on what Fred Jackson can do in the NFL...really won't find much on CJ Spiller. That is why Rookie RB's do well...opposing coaches do NOT know what that other coach is going to do with that player...OR, what THAT player can do with the football in his hands.

    3. Trent Edwards: If anyone is confused as to why he was named a starter then they just didnt follow this team in the offseason as he won the job. Further more, if anyone is confused why he was benched and cut, then they just werent watching the games as he proved without a doubt he just isnt the same guy when the games count. The cutting of Trent alone is a great move for this team...no more pussification of the team and no controversies.

Agreed. Not much to say about this one. (and I DID like Trent...at one point this year.)

    4. Lynch being traded: First off, Lynch is a good back, not a great back. He has potential to be a great back, but he has yet to reach it. He was beaten out by an UDFA in Fred Jackson who is in his late 20's because he dances too much at the line and doesnt hit holes as effectively. Need proof...compare YPC of him and FJ behind the same OL...case closed. Not to mention, he is one burp at the wrong moment away from a year long suspension.

FJ runs hard, has relatively low mileage on his legs and should be effective for 2 to 3 more years and is now paired with Spiller who can take it to the house on any given play. We went from Thunder and "Dance too much" Thunder to Thunder and Lightning which is a better combo. Lynch would be gone after his contract was up anyway. So at some point we were going to have to trade him, and we need draft picks NOW not later.

I agree with most of what you said in the 1st paragraph...however, if Lynch never got suspended, he would have started last season and been the lead-guy the whole year. Spiller dances too much...behind the line. Lynch hits holes the hardest of them all. He was the perfect "Workhorse" back that we certainly need. I think a 4th was fair. Only thing is, now we have to go out and spend a high draft pick on a RB in a year or 2 to replace the 30-something Fred Jackson. CJ Spiller is Reggie Bush. He will not be an every down RB in Buffalo. I just don't see it happening. He is better off being used as a KR/PR, WR, Wildcat/Option...on top of a 3rd down RB. He would get enough touches per game with all of that, to be able to be a dominant player. But 30 carries a game?

    5. Lee Evans: You people need to get a grip. One day you scream all over the place of how cheap Ralph is, now you wont shut up about Lee's contract being so big, when its really not since it was front loaded. Lee is NOT holding any young players back...Lee is NOT taking up cap space we cant afford...Lee is NOT causing a distraction...Lee is NOT washed up...Lee IS worth more than a 4th round draft pick.

Funny thing is that some you people screaming to trade him are some of the same people upset that all we got is a 4th for Lynch and claiming how the 4th is not very much for a talented player. Even more funny is that we dont NEED to keep Lynch, but we are already short handed at WR. Given Moss went for a 3rd, that would mean that Lee could maybe get a 3rd (he is younger, and seen as a very talented WR around the league) or more likely a 4th right now. So how is that more valuable to a team that MUST groom a young QB who will need WR's to throw to? Either Brohm or some rookie will be under center soon, and they will need weapons.

If we can get a good enough draft pick, I would do it. But, I do agree that he could serve a important purpose on this team. I think between T.O.'s short stay, and what Evans has done...Steve Johnson is rounding into a decent player. I am sure Lee Evans has played a role in developing Roscoe's game, and nothing stops me from thinking he could turn Marcus Easley into a player.

    6. Evaluating Chan/Nix: Again, get a grip. They came into this mess, they didnt make this mess. They have had 4, yes just 4, games (against vastly more talented teams) together and you are already blasting them as if the lack of talent on this team is their doing. They are being forced to work with what they have and it will take a season or two before they can really put their stamp on this team.

In the grand scheme of things, you are right and I do agree. They were the 2 men who were brave enough to take on this disaster...and the only REAL way to do it, is to just blow the whole damn thing up and start from scratch. Get all of the dead weight that is NOT yours. Try to develope what you brought on board or think you can salvage. Get rid of the rest. Build through the draft...however, I disagree with their Free Agency plan. I think they need to go out and sign some BIG-NAME guys who could come in and be leaders and house-hold, face of the franchise names. 1 for the Offense, 1 for the Defense...Moorman for Special Teams!

I am looking at about 2-3 years before this thing starts to take-shape...but I think we could be relevant again.

  12. Doesn't it make more sense that Ralph is putting a crappy product on the field to lessen the blow of them leaving? Don't hire football people. Pay rock bottom for GMs, Coaches and "talent". It's not that he's senile and he has good intentions. I think he maybe stripping this town of our pride in this team so it's easier to say goodbye. Maybe it's a paranoid delusion I had after having one too many bowls of Lucky Charms, but it does make sense, doesn't it?

I hope I'm as far away from right as can be. And before you say "the Bills can't leave Bflo", I ask where you live.

I have been thinking this all week...especially with all the guys they are getting rid of!

Will we be able to field a team in 10 weeks with players ANYONE has heard of?

  13. The guy from profootballgeeks.com or something? Anyway, they crunch NFL data like mad scientists and the guy basically said what I've been saying all along- that aside from a a very few special talents (Peterson, Chris Johnson, Tomlinson, Gale Sayers, OJ, maybe Spiller?) that the difference in production and talent in RB's is remarkably negligible especially relative to other positions on the field. Translation: plug in a competent back who can stay injury free in a healthy offense and they're gonna put up numbers. Marshawn Lynch is not a special back. He is a very good back who runs hard and I have no doubt that if he were the feature back somewhere, he'd put up numbers. But this guy also said that Fred Jackson has been the more productive back (based on whatever number-crunching this guy does) of the two throughout their respective careers. Guys- namely that bozo that currently has the post up about how this is the second worst move in the history of the franchise- IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT ROUND HE WAS DRAFTED IN! That was 2007, this is now, this is what Gailey and Nix were handed. Keeping him on the team because he was a first rounder is called cutting off your nose to spite your face (an old metaphor from my youth). This is what market value brought him, the three-headed monster wasn't working, they did the right thing. Honestly it's almost to the point that if you don't agree with this, I really question your football IQ.

    So like I keep saying...

What happens in a year or 2 (tops) when we need to replace the (then) 32 year old Fred Jackson?

Go waste ANOTHER draft pick on a RB? Because that IS what we will have to do...Spiller will not work as an every-down RB.

You cut a 24 year old to keep a 30 year old? That just makes absolutely ZERO sense!

  14. Color me crazy because I would have gladly taken a second rounder for him. But seeing as how we got a 4th rounder, "that'll do Chan, that'll do"

I know, I know, it's not every day you can find a running back who has a penchant for finding the biggest collection of bodies and running squarely into their backsides for a one yard gain. Hopefully, we can locate that RB, and if he has off field tendencies, ooooh baby, SuperBowl here we come.

At least Lynch tried to run through them, not dance around them like Spiller does...

..and at least Lynch got that yard...Spiller would have lost it!

Jackson already has filled Lynch's role in the past and did it better than Lynch. Why are we making a plain to see average RB(Lynch) into some All-World RB? The guy averaged the NFL average per carry for an NFL RB, if not a hair less. Jackson behind the same Oline, averaged at least a half a yard more per carry than Lynch did throughout his career here, and is a much better receiver.

So you are comparing 1 year for Fred to Lynch's entire career?

    Yeah, that sounds fair!

Fred Jackson barely got to 1,000 yards last year...he had to have like 200 yards against Indy's backups to put him over 1,000!

Marshawn Lynch did it TWO years in a row...and he went for about 200 extra, compared to Jackson JUST getting there!

  15. Craig Patrick: You're missing some of the best players.

Herb Brooks: I'm not looking for the best players, Craig. I'm looking for the right ones.

IMO, this is what is going on at One Bills Drive. They are separating the chaff from the wheat. They are trying to get the right players. The one thing, it seems to me, that all of the draft picks and UFA signings this year is that they seem to be: smart, hard working, good football character on the field, good character off the field and tough SOB's.

I'd rather have a slightly less talented guy coming out of college who's a hard worker and nasty on the field than a guy who's gotten by on his talent alone. I know some will disagree but I think if Baltimore was offered Torell Troup for Terrance Cody they'd jump at the chance and feel like they ripped the Bills off. JMO

IMO, team chemistry is why Lynch is gone.

Since when does donating to charity and being a choir boy result in winning football games?

    Just curious?

  16. Thank you for the intelligent response, really.

Chan Gailey and Buddy Nix came in here with a plan. Both of them have done/seen it done before.

The end of your post I guess you are implying that CJ Spiller was the wrong pick. Really? Who else would you have chosen? The next tackle, Anthony Davis? Bryan Bulaga? Both are stuggling, with the right tackle and guard position respectively. We always talk about best player available, thats how good teams get to be great teams. We were a ok team with Jauron. Cj helps this team mightily, especially since Marshawn is gone. Mike Mayock, best draft guru imo said that if a team needs a guy to pick up chunks of yeardage at a time than you draft Cj Spiller. Guess what, we are that team. He is a special player!!!

As for offensive line. The most important part on an NFL team. We are wayyyyyy behind the rest of the NFL with our lines. But im just going to talk about the offensive line for now. I feel like Demetruis can be a starter. I feel like andy levitre can be a starter. But thats about it. I love Eric Wood but he is not meant for the right guard postion. You think Big, tough guy, why not? He struggled with one on one blocking in college and thats excatly what you do at the guard postion. ONce Wood goes to center and Hang becomes are 4th man in the interior, we will be good with 3 positions. As for RG I like Urbik. A guy with a grown mans body and has grown man stregnth. You need that to play guard in this league. And finally, the missing link. We know Cornell Green is not the answer. And we have a glaring weakness at RT.

I can go on and on about every position and what i think but bottom line is i trust chan and buddy. Chan never saw trent in live condition for himself. Once the bullets flying we have no pass protection and chan didnt see that in training camp. Thats why with this o line we need a mobile qb, and thats why fitz does ok.

    Anyone disagree?

Wood is too small for Guard...but you wanna leave Levitre there?

Wood is bigger than Levitre.

  17. Haven't heard many opinions now that Freddy is our #1 guy. I assume we've all come to grips with it, right?

I for one am happy that he's finally getting his shot - while I liked Marshawn, we certainly don't lose anything when Jackson is in there. Plus he's older, a vocal leader and plays with a ton of heart!

I think if I had to rock a jersey from a player on the current team, it'd be Jackson...

    Loved these quotes:

Freddy J (Jackson) is one of my favorite players that I’ve ever played with just in terms of the energy, the enthusiasm and the heart that he plays with,” said Fitzpatrick. (and that's from FITZ, the only other person that plays with heart out there!)

“I don’t think anybody believes we’re going to miss a beat having Fred in there,” said Lee Evans. “He did tremendous things for us last year and we all know what type of player he is.”

Let's hear it for Freddy - lead us to a win this weekend #22!

Nope...we only lose about 6 years! Which in the end, means we will have to lose ANOTHER draft pick on a RB in 2 years, to replace our D-3, undrafted, 30 year old starting RB that we are trying to rebuild with/around!

    BRILLIANT! :wallbash:

  18. BINGO. Did anyone not see what the Patriots just did? They traded a good player in a contract year for a draft pick because he isn't in the long term plans. What did the Bills do? THE EXACT SAME THING. This is how you consistently build a winner. The last time we did this with a player was Ko Simpson and it was a 7th rounder at that.

I actually think this was part of the plan with edwards - unless he really lit the world on fire.

Nix actually has a plan, and despite what TG and Sully say - they would have gotten less for Marshawn (no better hten a 4th was offered according to multipe reports) in the offseason then now. And yes, a conditional 6th is still something...

Well how is a 24 year old, 2x 1,000 yard rusher, who has been to the pro-bowl...NOT in your long-term plans???

That is just retarded and it WILL cost them! (Now in a year, we have to go out and draft Jackson's replacement...somebody who can pound the ball and be the #1 RB...SPILLER will not cut it as a workhorse!)

The plan is pretty much cristal clear to me......

    - Get rid of the non performers....for WHATEVER we can get

    - Work your way to the top of the draft board

    - Figure out who are gamers and who are not

Next to go should be McCargo and Whitner

Comparing what McCargo is worth to this team with what Whitner is worth to this team...is a complete joke!

  19. There is some speculation that the Pets* are going for Vincent. If they do I don't see how that makes them a better team. They would be trading one very talented headache for one talented headache. From what I hear in articles I've read, VJ's contract demands are so absurd SD can't find a trading partner for him. If the Pets* get him then they'll probably have to give up that third rounder they got for Moss. I think Belichick's ego makes him believe he can win with anyone.

    He has done it before.

Quick, name all the SB's they won since they were caught cheating?

Wow...still holding onto to that huh?

Stealing a quarter's worth of hand signals from the Jets...THAT is why they won ALL those Super Bowls?

    GIVE IT UP ALREADY!
