The HB/TE blocking option for Lynch didn't work out that well, so I don't mind trying the FB option again.
-
I predict we'll go 11-5, and make as a Wild Card into the playoffs.
-
This guy sounds like a freak of nature. 5'9", 242lbs, benches 470 and benched 225lbs 34 times, that's very impressive.

Where's Cartman when we need him "Blame Canada!!".
-
I wish we could have picked up one of the top TE's in the draft, but we had other pressing needs, and I feel we accomplished those by picking up McKelvin & Hardy. We needed help in the red zone, and having a 6'6" WR to throw to will definitely help out. I still think Schoumann has potential, and would like to see more of him. If Robert Royal can't pull it together this year, then I would like to see him out of here. I'm glad we picked up a DE in the 3rd round, I haven't been thrilled with Kelsay so hopefully he'll have some competition now.

A. The holes on this team have gotten much smaller. Great to see us replenish special teams.
-
I think we had a good draft. We needed size at the WR position, and we got 2 tall WR's. We needed depth/help at the DE position, and got it. We needed an upgrade/depth at the CB position, and really got it (with 3 picks). We needed special teams help since losing a few ST's in the offseason, and got it with our later round picks. Unfortunately, there wasn't a top quality TE left when it came to the 3rd round, so that's no fault on management. I feel our defense will be solid next year (as long as there aren't a ton of key injuries), and I feel our offense will improve. We will be a playoff team this year. I predict 12-4 and a Wild Card spot.
-
Talk about depth. Anyone know anything about Kennard Cox?
-
I think it's great to have another option at the return game. If McGee or Parrish gets injured at some point during the year, McKelvin can step in.
The way I look at it, whoever does the best at any position on the team should be starting. So if McKelvin does a better job (once the pre-season/season starts), then I think he should be fielding the returns.
-
The Redskins' QB's aren't great (Campbell or Collins), so I don't think the Skins' will be this year's Patriots. I do have to give them credit, they're building a great offense.
-
I was disappointed at first, but we got our WR, plus after watching more film on McKelvin, I feel we did an awesome job today.
-
He was TE I was hoping would fall to us in the 3rd. Now I am hoping the pick is either Jermichael Finley or Jeremy Zuttah who we can groom as Fowler's replacement at center.
Is there any good TE's left?
-
So far, I give our draft an A+. We got the best CB in the draft, plus a tall WR. Our red zone problems will be starting to go away now.
-
I think it's obvious that we will draft a WR in the first round. The WR position was not addressed in free agency, and we picked up a CB during FA so far. I would love to see us draft 2 WR's, we need some depth.
I think the perfect scenario would be drafting both Thomas (1st rd) & Kelly (2nd rd), but I also think that would be a stretch. As long as we get 1 of the top 4 WR's, I'll feel that we made the right move.

Damn...you beat me to the punch.

I just read on espn.com that the Dolphins are making a deal with OT Jake Long. I wonder who will be their starting QB this year? The dolphins will still be a crappy team for a couple of years, so hopefully we keep making the right moves and we'll be way ahead of them and the Jets.
-
11-5 & a Wild Card berth sounds great to me!!!
-
...and by quick you mean 3 years, right?
I remember Dan Marino's prediction the last day of the regular season last year, "I predict the Dolphins will double their win total next season". I thought it was awesome seeing him make fun of his old team.
-
I'm predicting 11-5 and a wild card berth. I think our losses will come to The Jags, Chargers, Browns & the Pats (twice). It would be great to finally split with the Pats, hopefully this year's draft will get us closer to that.
-
Thanks for the NFL/Kirwan link, this is a great thread.
Please stop with the Owen Schmitt hype though. A FB is not worth drafting for this team as our offense like many in today's NFL doesn't key on one.
Turk Schonert said he wants to bring back the FB to the offense this year. I know we already picked up a FB in Free Agency, and it looks like we'll add another in the draft.
-
Devin Thomas is my choice at WR. We need someone who has cold weather experience.
-
I'm more afraid of this...
Poltergeists at the Ralph? No thank you. I don't want ghosts in my house.
I think there have been ghosts haunting the Bills & Buffalo sports for quite some time. How do you explain our bad luck? 4 Superbowl losses, 2 Stanley Cup losses, NO Goal, Forward Lateral, Phnatom Goal, Johnson over Flutie...etc... It's the ghost of President McKinley haunting Buffalo.

ONE OF THE BEST CORNERS IN NFL HISTORY?!.... Nevermind.
Plus, he's a former TNA wrestling tag-team champion too!

I like the shortened time. I get tired of hearing all the hype, and how certain announcers/analysts go on about a certain team or a certain player. It would be nice if the announcers/analysts would give equal time to each team.
With 10 minutes for the 1st round, is it safe to say that we'll draft our player around 1:50pm or sooner (that's if we don't move down in the draft)? I'll stay and wait until we draft our 1st round, then DVR the rest.

I like Vic & Chris Berman, at least those 2 give credit to the Bills unlike the rest of the sportscasters that don't even mention us, and when they do they put us down. Or worse, they do a Marshall Faulk, and have totally no clue what they're talking about.
Marshall Faulk= "Dee Dee Dee" (See Carlos Mencia).
