  1. Minutes after finding out he made the 53 man roster, Bell hired Eugene Parker and left Orchard Park. Parker did not return calls, and the only word from Bell came from a text message he sent Xavier Omon stating he already misses the team and really loves football. Omon guarantees Bell will stay in shape while he's gone.

    LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!! :worthy:

  2. I still think Tripplett is better than McCargo because at least he made a rare play, whereas McCargo is basically invisible. No matter how you look at it, these were two Levy blunders. :worthy:

Levy was much better at drafting players, than picking FA's. At least Levy & current management saw when a player isn't working out and got rid of them quickly, instead of hanging onto them like Donahoe did. Levy built for the long-term, Donahoe built for the short-immediate future and falied.

  3. Jets’ RB Chatman suspended four games

Running back Jesse Chatman of the New York Jets has been suspended without pay for the team’s first four regular-season games of 2008 for violating the NFL Policy on Steroids and Related Substances.

Chatman’s suspension begins on Saturday, August 30. He is eligible to return to the Jets’ active roster on Monday, September 29 following the team’s September 28 game against the Arizona Cardinals.

That's great news about Jesse Chatman, hopefully that will hurt the Jets enough during those 4 games.

  4. Omon making the team really speaks volumes about Wright's commitment to the game. Jauron called him out last year and I guess it didn't help much. I'm really glad Johnson made the team too. At 6'1" he brings a little more size to the receiving corp.

Wright was looking good this year as he had some impressive runs, but his fumbles lead to his downfall here in Buffalo.

  5. Congrats to Steve Johnson. He could develop into a player. Omon showed me some talent, too, although it's impossible to tell if he can run and block like that with any consistency against starters with real bullets. Huge kudos to Corto for making the team, at least for now.

I'm glad Johnson & Omon made the team. Johnson was catching everything thrown to him, plus he has good size. Hopefully, he'll make an impact this year.

  6. I was a little surprised that Anderson & Massaquoi both got cut, with the injuries to Schouman & Fine. I was hoping Anderson would have been used as an extra red-zone threat, with him being 6'7", 270lbs, but I didn't even hear his name called during the pre-season.

I heard rumors that Peters might show up Monday, it wouldn't surprise me. With training camp, pre-season and the final cuts being completed, he has no reason not to show up mow. I'd be surprised if he didn't show up by next Sunday. Even if Peters shows up this week, I don't think he'll start at LT, maybe work him in at some point, but that's it.

  7. he is young, that was the first big mistake i have seen him make this preseason. a year of seasoning and he could be, could be solid.

I agree, Bell needs some tweaking and he'll be fine. I'm betting Peters will show up by next Sunday, I'm just wondering if he'll show up over the weekend or wait til' closer until game day?
