  1. Disappointments on opening day: 2004, when we lost to the Jags at the last minute when leading the entire game. The Jags converted three 4th downs, and Nate Clements had a chance to knock the ball away, but instead he got greedy & went for the INT and got outmuscled for the ball.

2006: When we were beating the Pats, and bonehead Jauron opted to go 4th & 1, instead of kicking a FG. He had Trash, excuse me, McGahee line up in "I" formation, and got stuffed for no gain.

2007: Our last offensive possession, why in the hell do you try a long pass when you're in the lead, trying to kill the clock?

I am looking forward to the season opener, and I think we will beat the Seahawks. I just hope the team doesn't have the slow starts of the previous years, and Jauron (or the coaching staff) doesn't make any bone-headed calls.

''I definitely hate the idea of Buffalo coming up here. I really dislike it," said defensive end Jonathan Brown. "I mean, they're stepping on our turf. This is our turf - this is the CFL. They definitely have no business coming up here.''

He's just upset that he's playing in the CFL (Cheesy Football League) and couldn't make an NFL roster playing on the practice squad.

  3. Not a JP or a Trent fan. Just making that clear.

Where is all the Trent love coming from? He played "okay" for a rookie. But if we really think that he is going to beat some of the powerhouse teams in the AFC to get us to the playoffs....than we are all drinking the cool aid. I just don't see it.

For the first time ever I am not optimistic about this team. Maybe thats a good thing though since its been how many years since a playoff berth.

Considering Edwards was the #3 QB heading into training camp & pre-season last year, and was expected to hold a clipboard all year long, I'd say he did a good job as a rookie.

Now that Fairchild and his ultra-conservative play calls are gone, plus Edwards has a couple of taller targets to throw to besides the smurf's, I think we have a legitimate shot of making the playoffs.

  4. I live right in hamburg, and I think you guys are overrating nino's. Between everyone I've talked to just about ever that has had both edie's and nino's, edie's wins.

Side note on bozannas: its really expensive, but they give you unbelievable amounts of toppings, and the pizzas are huge. Truly a man's pizza.

I got a double crust pizza from Bozanna's once, man that thing was really huge.

  5. I met Steve Christie at Media Play (at the Mc Kinely Mall) back in the mid 90's. He was ok, nothing special to brag about.

I met Scott Norwood twice at Jimmy's Old Town Tavern in Herndon, VA. The first time I met Scott he seemed a little reserved, I guess he wasn't sure how the fans were going to react to him. He's a very nice guy, I got a picture & autograph with him both times I met him.

  6. VS SEATTLE - The crowd is jumping and the stadium is as loud as the Dallas game. The Seahawks are used to this. We know we need to start this season on the right foot. Low scoring game but we Seattle wins it by a hair. 20-17 L

-I think we win this one 24-17

At JAX- Revenge of Stroud. The Jags are a powerhouse team. We are a year away from becoming what they were last year. Jags win it 24 - 14 L

    -Sounds about right

VS OAKLAND - The fans think this is a sure win but it turns out alot like the Vikings game 2 years back. Russel isnt experienced enough and the Bills win it. 17-13 W

-I think we'll win by a lot more than 4 points

AT ST.LOUIS - This is Edwards coming out game of the season. Very good game for our team as Edwards throws for 3 TD passes. 28 - 14 W

AT ARIZONA - This looks like a W on paper but it is much tougher than expected. We win W

-I think we win regardless if it's Warner or Leinart

    BYE - ZzZZZzZZZZzZZZZ

VS CHARGERS - The Chargers run us over even though we have had so much studying on them. Chargers 27 - 16 L

AT MIAMI - The Dolphins still arent tough enough to beat the Bills. Trent has a good game. Bills win 21-9 W

VS NY - The Jets are being over-hyped IMO but still a great game at the Ralph. The Jets win with a last second field goal. Jets 17-14 L

J-E-T-S JETS, JETS, JETS!!! S-U-C-K SUCK, SUCK, SUCK!!! The Jets don't have a reliable QB. Pennington's arm is shot and Clemens is still an unknown. I'd say we win this one 21-13.

AT NEW ENGLAND - We arent elite in the East yet. Patriots run us over 31-14 L

-We'll give NE a harder time this year compared to last year, but not enough to beat them just yet.

VS CLEVELAND - The win I want the most - We do not get. Cleveland ruins our MNF night by a hair. Browns 27-23 L

    -Agreed

AT KANSAS CITY - We have this even if they have a crowd like ours. Bills win 20-10 W

VS SAN FRAN - Back on track - We beat the 49ers. Clements revenge game! Bills 16 - 7 W

VS MIAMI - We need to show Toronto a good time. Bills come on top as Trent has another fun day with the Defense. Bills win it 34 - 17 W

AT NY- Wow. A 4 game win streak! Bills win with a bunch of FGs - 19 - 13 W

AT DENVER - Elam is gone. Thank god. But we still lose... . Denver tops us in a close one. 20-17 L

-I think we'll beat them this time around, no last second FG.

VS NEW ENGLAND - Who knows whats gonna be happening when this game rolls around. I say we lose this game, but not by much. L

My prediction is 11-5. I think we can finish anywhere between 10-6 and 12-4. I just worry about Jauron getting this team well prepared to start the season. So far 2 seasons under Jauron with both slow starts. If we're not at least 10-6, then it's time to can Jauron.

  7. I thought it was funny how Mularkey went from Bills Head Coach to Miami O.C. to Miami Tight Ends coach. The only things I liked about Mularkey was he did come up with a good game plan, we scored on almost every opening drive, plus he was creative, we saw some different plays and some trick one's as well. But he couldn't adjust to the other teams, and was quite clueless. I would never want him back with the Bills in any form, and I'm glad he's gone.

  8. While I agree that it is silly to trash a player just because he is a former Bill,

Too bad some Sabres fans (mainly on SabreSpace) can't accept this way of thinking. As soon as a player is a former Sabre, some of those guys on Sabrespace trash the hell out of them (mainly Briere & Drury).

  9. Henry was great in Buffalo. Tough and a hard runner with a ton of heart. Made a pro bowl. One of my fondest Bills memories was when we were playing the Bungals a few years ago, OT, and Henry ran for the winning score with a broken rib and he just kept running after he got in the endzone straight off the field to get looked at by a doctor. The Bills shafted him taking McGahee then giving his job to McGahee.

But the seven kids from seven moms is pretty hilarious. To me at least.

    I agree 100%

  10. I didn't like it when Donahoe drafted McGahee. I didn't like it when McGahee was given the starting RB slot over Henry. But McGahee turned out to be a bust, and we got Lynch who ran through everything last year (including girls on the street at 3:30am). When Henry is healthy, he's an awesome RB, but his off-field issues are killing his career.

  11. Each time I read a blurb about the Jets getting the best TE in the draft I get a little bummed. I was really hoping we would get Keller!

I think it was a big stretch that the Jets moved up that far to get a TE. But only time will tell if Keller was worth a 1st round pick.
