  1. One more try:

Did Freddy Jackson approach the Bills and offer to take a pay cut?

Or did Florio simply suggest that as part of the "anything" Freddy would do to retire a Bill? You know, to support his claim that the Bills should have done this a different way.

    Like I said, specious reporting.

Does it matter? The proof is in the pudding. They didn't keep the best RBs, they kept those they saw the most potential in down the road. It's a move for next season not this season. And it's a decission that doesn't make the team any stronger for this season.

It also shows that Rex bleets like a sheep but reads the community like a dodo.

FJ has said over and over that he wanted to retire a Bill. He still has more game this season then KW or Brown, next year, maybe not.

They prolly didn't trade him out of respect but it would have been a far better business decision both in return as in PR.

I got completly side tracked didnt I...

  2.

    Clearly?

Did you see Karlos in that 1st game? The kid runs possessed...I don't think it's clear at all...

The Bills are just loaded at RB and Freddie is the oldest...Can he still play? Absolutely...It's not like this was an easy decision for the Bills...But I doubt they thought Williams would look as good as he has...And Boobie is a ST's animal...Fred just got squeezed out...I hate it too...But I don't think it's going to make any difference on the field... B-)

Sure Williams has looked the deal. But he hasn't shown the other traits the Fred has. And Fred always makes a difference when on the field, don't you dare question that. I rather have one more year of Fred then 2 more years of Brown welll that trade certainly didn't work out let's just cut our losses.

  3. Fred can't play anymore. Any random RB off the street can perform better than him.

I know most of you can't admit this to yourselves because you are too emotional and/or you aren't capable of evaluating football talent - but it's obvious.

    Wish him the best, though.

Lousy troll attempt or sour FO poster? Fred was still the #2 RB on the team.

  4. We all liked the guy, BUT I actually like that the team understands the importance of letting the nice guy go in favor of a more damaging weapon.

It's a business and hard decisions have to be made. It's good to see they are able to make decisions independent of emotions.

I doubt this move made anyone feel good. However, keeping all the old favorites around won't get Buffalo to the Supoerbowl.

This isn't about letting old favorites go, this is about letting your leading RB of last season go who iswas clearly still the best RB on the roster after Shady.

  5. Also, I wasn't expecting/am quite curious to read how many people here think he's better than Brown.

Again, probably one of my favorite Bills of all-time. But I'm not blind.

Better at receiving, better at blocking, better ball security, team leader both on and off the field.

What did Brown do, show some flashes followed by a fumble?

  6. I was just trying to see if there was anything worth noting when comparing pre-season stats to season stats. Not much there, but it does seem that EJ is a bit of a pre-season warrior. Also included Tannehill for the this is what it looks like when you develop a QB thingy. Anyway... sharing because I sorted it out allready anyway.
