No doubt about it: The Buffalo Bills should have selected Nassib in the 2013 college draft.
Nassib looked like garbage and worse his first season. He would unemployed by now had the Bills drafted him, he was nowhere near ready to start. EJ wasnt ready to start either, but still looked 10 times the NFL QB in his first season compared to Nassin.

Maybe we can get their OC as well, in a packaged deal?
That'd be pure genius if we'd manage to pull that off!
-
he got to play with the first team, in 2013 and 2014...he sucked.
So did Tannehill...
-
This is my favorite Nassib game, the comeback against Missouri. Yeah, Syracuse never played anybody good.
Sweet, can we contract that coach as HC, he certainly had an awesome team there! He must be great!
-
Damn, are we going to have to attach yet another asterisk to their name?
How is that a surprise? Use 2 with 2 more in brackets untill it is proven fact.

I'd love to ride with Marcel, never expected him to ride.

Leave it out; it's unnecessary and adds nothing to the discussion besides the appearance of some type of unrelated agenda.
The point I was trying to make was worded 10 times better by Scribo and that point is of value to the discussion imho.

Come on, John. Readers all over the place have lost the sense of journalism. If they don't agree with what you're reporting, you must be a muckraker. If you write what they want to hear, you're a tremendous reporter. The cable news networks are to blame, serving up entertainment packaged as "news", mutilating the intelligence of Americans.
Thank you, I should have worded the comparison between AP and Fox News like this.

Please tell me that you don't mean to question someone else's motive for posting a snide remark while including the bold snide remark in your post?
I agree that there's no need to take shots at anyone, including jw, but that message is (IMO) better delivered without that very-obvious political slant.
It wasnt meant as a political statement, fact is Fox News makes up things whatever their motives behind it and fact is that AP doesn't.
The same people who got over RJ and got over JP will get over EJ.... and if/when the Bills make another big investment in another flawed QB, they will fall in love all over again. Rinse and repeat.
For me it isnt about EJ but about the total mismanagement and lack of patience to develop a qb. Commit to a guy like the Dolphins did snd we may end up with a decent qb which will be a major improvement over what we've had since Kelly...

Ding! Ding! Ding!
You're the winner, John. You got E.J. to finally say the "somewhere else" line. The media's been competing all summer to get that admission and you pulled it off.
Congratulations! Your kewpie doll is right over here....
What is the point of your post? Appreciate the fact that jw comes here please, his article states facts. He works for AP not Fox News. You are reacting like he is some tabloid writer or a columnist/opinionist.

I'm dumbfounded that a team would draft a guy 16th, play him 14 times under a coach who was in over his head, and then cut him. If you're willing to do that, what does that say about scouting? Not just the Bills GMs but a lot of GMs hinge their jobs on making risky selections of QBs way too early. It's a double-edge sword, if you pass on a guy who turns out, you're fired. If you do draft one and miss on him, you're fired. Teams just continue over and over to a) have zero patience to develop a QB and b) overdraft them. Those two concepts... no patience and overdrafting are counterproductive to stabilizing the position. We've witnessed it for 15 years. As long as you over draft and have no patience, it's a revolving door of draft failures sprinkled with FA and trade failures. Look at this team since Kelly.
Spot on. Patience is needed, unless they feel they really whiffed on selecting EJ. The big issues is that both fans and organization are extremely impatient with regards to QB play. Look at Miami, all of a sudden people think Tannehill is a great QB, all they did was support him, stand by him and believe in their own choice. EJ has been put under pressure from day 1, whilst he wasn't ready for it and the organization knew it.
Year Team G GS Att Comp Pct Yds Y/A TD Int Rtg Att Yds Avg TD Sack YdsL Fum FumL
2012 MIA 16 16 484 282 58.3 3,294 6.8 12 13 76.1 49 211 4.3 2 35 234 9 4
2013 MIA 16 16 588 355 60.4 3,913 6.7 24 17 81.7 40 238 6.0 1 58 399 9 5

i'm not going to read his mind. I asked a question.he answered it.i followed up for clarification.and he provided the answer.all i know is that he's never used the words "somewhere else" before.
jw
Somebody: Let's have a pizza over there.
EJ: Nah, let's go somewhere else.

The FO stance has not changed on EJ. They gave him plenty of opportunities.
Best of luck in your next chapter.
Imo
That is utter nonsense. They forced him to play in his rookie year knowing well that he wasn't ready for that and needed time. Then the second year in he's named starter but pulled after 4 games, not even getting playing time at the end of the season when things didn't matter anymore. This organization has completely mismanaged EJ, failed to support him and failed to give him time and opportunity. The classic recipe to ruin a rookie QB.
-
did you miss the 2014 season?
Hmm, no, i must have suffered from a severe case of memory loss, i stand corrected.
-
Has it crossed anyone's mind that this staff looks at EJ as a rookie? EJ was raw, needed time and coaching, he got neither. If there needed to be more proof of the ineptitude of Marrone and Hacket, watching all three QBs move the team on Friday was it. EJ doesn't cost a lot and what are you going to get for him?
As they should, it might be year 3 but he still is a rookie.
-
Gilmore hasnt been the same since that broken wrist imho, hope he turns it around. Then again that coincided with the rule change where cbs werent allowed to be as physical any more.
-
42% of the players think the Pats**(**) are cheating... That's a staggering number...
-
I actually see Ik making the team, we could use some solid depth at LB.
-
Awesome read!
-
I hate to be a party pooper but if this means anything it is that both TT and EJ havent progressed enough and that it is still Cassel his job to loose. Of note is that Cassel has seen the most time in camp with the 1's as well.
-
Meh, nothing to see here other then a sports millionaire that is being sensible about spending some and his wife having the final say. Not at all different from any other normal household imho.
-
This thread us tge wordt idea ever... For monile phones... hitting next 64 times to get to todays info... jeah... meh.
-
No way, EJ has better potential and will be a better QB provided the Bills are as patient as the Phins have been.
-
If memory serves, the Pats were never warned once about improper ball deflation. Correct me if I'm wrong.
*cough* rulebook *cough*

Brady's earlier phone, and perhaps the earlier one than that, were handed over to a security person to get information off it. Phone numbers and stuff. The important phone in question, that he used during the latter part of the season and playoffs and after the story broke, he never turn over. That is the one he said he destroyed like he destroys them all (except the last one, and maybe the last two).
I know that, was just explaining the implication of destroyed to Beerball versus a broken phone. Then again Brady is now saying they phone isnt destroyed but broken but that he would never want to turn it over in the first place because he doesn't need to or what ever his spin doctor wrote on his facebook account.
