ketchup, mustard or relish.
What do you mean or? It goes ketchup, mustard and relish please!

Fred aside, 3 RB seems to be a bit low to me especially given the rush to pass ratio we're using. IR-ing Goodwin would have made more sense imho, would be a bummer for sure but it would have made sense.

Why not release IKE? No one's going to pick him up for their roster and he'd be better served on the Bills' PS.
Ike doesn't count towards the roster as he's serving a suspension.
-
Your wrong on a bunch of them
At least I'm not claiming that someone with a 1-7 W/L ratio knows how to beat them, even the Bills did better with 2-6 over that same period. Let me get it straight though that I pray that Rex is able to improve on his record against them, starting now.
-
Rex not always solid against the run? "Depends on what years you look at?" Um...
Okay, let's look at the years.
Beginning in 2005, in his first year as D coordinator with Baltimore, through his time as HC with NYJ, here's where his defenses have ranked in the NFL in YPA:
- Ninth
- Second
- First
- Fifth
- First
- Fourth
- Seventh
- Twentieth
- First
- Sixth
So, yeah. I guess if you look at that ONE year, his run defenses aren't always top 10. Never mind they were top-5 six times and number one three times.
Hmmm, jeah, I stand corrected. When we had Petine I looked up Rex his defense against the run and that number stuck I guess. Glad to be wrong on that one. \o/

Rex is 4-9 against the Pats* in the last 6 years, which is more wins than all of the Bills coaches combined this Millennium
Take away the 2010 season and we're looking at 1-7 (1-3 of those games within 1 score). It's not like Ryan has Bellichick his number as of late. Rather the opposite, it seems that Bellichick seems to understand how to counter Ryan's gameplan. Bills coaches are 2-6 2011-2014.

You can also proofread it yourself. It's sort of expected..
As for the thread content, really?? YOU'RE the voice of reason to the region?
I'm presenting a thread with a deliberate negative view, as you could have have guessed from the (intended) thread title. Which was fixed after my oversight. The purpose of the thread is made further clear with the first sentence. Counter balance the positive.
'Goodwin isn't ready'.
Goodwin? Who is talking about Goodwin?
That's a reason for decenTing?
Wow
Has he ever been counted on? We didn't even acknowledge our highly paid for 1st Round pick from '14, but McRib is cause enough to stop being thrilled we demolished a Super Bowl contender?
Have you been drinking some well deserved post victory juice?
I wish I would have stopped at the Thread title..
As a word of friendly advise, create a second account and use that for posting if you are going to be like this.

Guys,
Great win, but it seems we're getting ahead of ourselves here. We're actually positioning ourselves as favorites over the Patriots**(**) here it seems. I think that's a bit early.
1. Luck was able to move the chains dinking and dunking, something Brady**(**) excels at.
Because we allowed it. We WANTED them to do that to waste time off the clock after we had dominated the 1st half. This game absolutely was not close. That does not mean we are going to dominate the patriots I would never predict that.....but we gave them the short passes on purpose.
Valid point.
2. Gronk.
Who Rex has been pretty good against in the past.
Rex is 1 for 7 or something to that extend in the last years...
3. Even through all those blitzes, Luck was able to dink and dunk.
We stopped blitzing in the second half....didnt u notice?
We were still sending 5, didn't we?
4. Belicheat**(**) has been running on us successfully before and the run D is not proven yet.
Past is past my friend....get with the now
Today is history, tomorrow a mystery
5. RT is going to suffer against Nikoblahblahcheater
?
5. Henderson is going to struggle against Rob Ninkovich
6. Chandler is a thread in the NE**(**) offense, whether we like it or not, sure he isn't Gronk but remember the days he saved for us
Also couldnt block worth a damn and got ragdolled by corners
He wasn't that bad.
7. Blount always has a great game against us
And he still might.....but once again.....Rex Ryan....top 10 in run defense historically and that is not by accident.
Depends on what years you look at
8. It's only TT his second NFL game, Belicheat**(**) annihilates rookie QBs (granted he didn't look the rookie one bit)
I am quite sure that the game plan on offense will be the same as it was against the colts......more run then pass......and to be honest the patriots looked horrid against the run week 1
For sure, I doubt the run/pass distribution will change much over the course of the year even
9. Graham won't play yet, he was out with that hit and they'll be forced to set him inactive
Good thing it looks like we have solid depth
I'm not sold on Rambo (he had a good game) or Duke personally
10. Rex seems way too confident facing NE**(**) hopefully this doesn't translate to the players or the crowd
Maybe because he knows how to beat them?
Based on what? The Rex PR machine? What is Rex his overall record? What is Rex his record when you take out that one season?
11. The Patriots**(**) D might be able to do some damage
Not based on what we saw week 1
We'll see, see my point with Henderson
12. O-line was struggling to get the running lanes opened
New system.....but did get it done when it mattered? Lets not act like the Colts game was close
The Colts aren't the Patriots. I honestly think that this is a crucial part with the run pass ratio we deploy.
13. They always find a way to cheat
I really dont know what to say about that.....its not part of football and you can bet Rex and crew are all over it
Heh, I was just cheap shotting, they earned it.
14. They will get away with tons of holding again
Probably....that is actually my real concern for the game....however somethign to think about. The patriots are no longer the NFL's darling after all the cheating....
Heh, I was just cheap shotting, they earned it. Realistically this is going to be an issue all year long as it was last year, the refs feel they can't keep calling every holding or they'll kill the game
15. The refs and the Patriots**(**) are sitting in a tree...
The refs work for the NFL
Heh, I was just cheap shotting, they earned it.
On the flip side
1. We'll have Dareus back.
2. The NE**(**) CBs look shaky
3. Special teams play
4. True test, if we beat the Pats**(**) in any fashion close to what we did with the Colts, oh boy, oh boy
5. Chandler is always good for a major turnover when it matters most
-
9) you don't know that's true
True, but if you look at his eyes right after the hit they spin away. He took a serious blow to the head and with the new concussion protocol and neutral evaluation of it I sincerely doubt we'll have Graham on the field. I hope we'll have him but I'd say there is a 75% chance he'll be sidelined for 1 week.

Grammar Nazi or not, poor spelling in thread titles discredits the content.
Wow, really, great point of view coming from a moderator. Seriously Chandler#81, could have fixed the thread title instead of being a douche.

But we didn't lose it not even close to losing it , so maybe he did the right thing despite what all the experts here think. If we lost or almost blew it at the end because we sat on the lead, that would be one thing, but we didn't.
I know but I think it's an understandable sentiment coming from being fans of a loosing franchise for so long.

Regarding Brady: it's a point repeated so often that it's become a truism that the way to affect Brady is to hit him hard and often. IMO it's not really true. Brady could care less if he gets pressure providing he successfully dumps off to Gronk or Edelman and gets 5-7 yds out of a down. He'll nibble opponents to death all day like that, waiting for his receivers to break some long YAC. (Look it up - Brady gets something like half his credited passing yards as YAC, near the top of the league at that.) He's the classic "live by the Blitz, die by the Blitz" QB. The way to beat Brady is to cover the middle like a blanket, take away his outlets and keep him contained, and then pressure. He gets rattled when he can't execute his plans and is forced into coverage sacks by pressure. The textbook Brady defense was the NYJ playoff game in 2010. The reason more teams don't repeat it is, it's hard to execute. Again, JMO.
This, so much this!
Would you have preferred the Bills to take some chances in the 4th qtr, which could have possibly led to some turnovers? I'm amazed at some of the the criticisms directed at this team after crushing an alleged SB contender.
!5 years of teams collapsing, a team with a reputation of being a great 4th quarter team closing in to 2 TDS with 2 FC, we're going to loose it if Roman doesn't get his act together and put more points on the board is what people were thinking.
-
They are already talking about who they should hire as HC next year. Wow.
Is it really surprising? They got whooped by a QB starting his first NFL game playing for a team that hasn't been to the playoffs in 15 years, where as they were in the AFC Championship game and feel they upgraded their weakest points over the offseason. Our board would be talking the head of the HC as well.
-
Chandler was a pretty good TE for us as well, his main problem was dropsies when it mattered, but he sure made us some nice TD's and saved drives over his career in Buffalo, let's not forget that.
-
Again I will state that it was a fine win, but I will rejoice and rank (2) games as the best ever in season game when the Bills SWEEP the Cheatriots.
Seeing the Colts get blown out in late Jan proves to me that, maybe they just didn't belong there.
Given the fact that it was still a game untill half time when the Pats**(**) were using there tampered balls and then blew the Colts out using their own reserve balls (not measured by the refs), I would not put value into that game. The Pats**(**) were scared of the Colts, hence the deflating, there could have been heaps of other cheating going on. Twice a cheater always a cheater (with the same same staff).
Edit: Granted the Colts had already lost once to the Pats**(**) last year, so maybe the Colts are simply not able to beat em.
-
It really is a tough call, that said that Colts looked pretty legit to me and yet were dominated. For the first time in years I felt all the talk about multiple threats and defenses being unable to cover everything actually came true. It looked like the Colts prepped to stop the run and, let's be fair, they did a really good job on that with maybe the exception being containing TT. Defense certainly got in Lucks head and forced him to throw earlier then he wanted, causing incompletes, defend able balls and turn overs, however the amount of sacks (2) was a bit low compared to the pressure they put on. Brady**(**) will be getting the ball out in a similar fashion, but will complete more given history; combine that with Gronk and we'll be hurting. Then again we're getting Marcel back this week.
The win was legit versus a very legit team, turnovers (Dorcell his PR fumble excluded) all forced through pressure. Refs were not on our side, that's for sure, and for once we over came that.
In the end we're still the Bills so I'll reserve judgement untill after we've won the Superbowl...
-
Agreed. That was a 40 yard call that simply can't happen in a game this important.
Did anyone actually see the facemask on the Colts' fumble play?
The call was complete bs, there wasn't an oline member near, that was a 100% clean block, announcers even said so. very bad call that one.
-
Is there anybody besides me that feels we were getting hosed by BS Ref penalties in second half?? I am tired of these BS calls that always go against us.
Jup, not just the second half, certainly felt we had some wierd calls going against us. Good thing Rex challenged that completion too. Punter getting brushed ever so lightly, call against us; way more dangerous play on our punter that should have been a penalty for sure, not called. There was more, but you know what they say about great teams? They can over come bad decisions like that, and that they certainly did.
-
Most likely part of the gameplan and part of next weeks gameplan.
-
To summarize the first half: WOW

Your slueth skills and reasonable deductions are impressive. Now that you mention it - an amateur site set up to show that the pats aren't the only team breaking rules in response to deflate-gate probably is designed by a pats fan, and not a chiefs fan or impartial statistician.
Which is fine, except for the ranking system; singleplayers using peds are nowhere near the cheat of filming your superbowl oppenents walkthrough signals which isnt even listed in the Pats**(**) case...

Honestly I pray that we don't let the stadium go quiet if by some undiscovered cheat we'll face 14-0, but add to the noise instead.
