  1. Well...

I think Coleman will be fine... He's going to catch passes from Josh Allen... He's a very lucky young man... And he is very young...

But when I think of the word explosive, Coleman was not the name that came to mind immediately...

However... He'll likely start at X from day 1, and I definitely think he'll be better than Gabe. He's clearly an alpha on the field, and it sounds like he's a really good kid... Definitely a Billsy pick...B-)

    ITS GOING TO BE FRANKLIN🦆

I've been saying it for a while now... There is no player in this Draft they scouted more thoroughly than Franklin... He's a 94-95 percentile "PFF Model" WR (since 2019 41% of 90 percentile WR's become "solid" players according to Pallazzolo...In comparison all other WR's below 90 percentile become solid players 9% of the time combined)... The Model is not a be-all-end-all... But it's a nice addition to Franklin's overall analysis...

He's a deep threat who ran a 4.41, but was really fast in the final 30 yards. Franklin had the slowest 10 yard split (1.61), but had a blazing 2.80 in the final 30... In comparison Worthy had a 2.72 final 30, BTJ 2.83, Adonai 2.82, Legette 2.85, McConkey 2.87, Pearsall 2.84... Franklin is more of a complete WR than some give him credit for, he's great at picking angles for YAC, and he's a legit deep threat. Think of it this way. Josh can heave it 65-70 yards fairly easily and after the 1st 10 yards Franklin will be one of the fastest WR's in the NFL... I think it's a fit. B-)

  3. I love all three of those top WR's... But I would be massively pissed if they did this... They better win a SB fast if they make a move like that... I'm never, ever in favor of trades like that... Especially in this Draft where there is so much talent in that 2nd and 3rd tier at WR... Hypothetically, the Bills could trade down, get a 3rd round pick back, then move up from 60 and end up with two from a group of Mitchell, McConkey, Legette, Franklin, Pearsall, Wilson, Coleman, Worthy, Polk, and Baker depending on who comes off the board and where. I get that the Bills may not have some of those WR's rated as high as others, but that's a pretty large bunch that are graded right around the late 1st till the early 2nd... Heck... Stay at 28 then move up from 60... Give me Legette and Wilson... I think that's better than giving up the world for one of those top 3 any day... But who knows... B-)

  4. I did a 2 round mock last night with a group of my Draft crazy friends. I got AD Mitchell at 28 and pretty easily traded up to 42 in order to Draft Xavier Legette... I gave up a 3rd in 2025, a 4th and 6th this year.

Mitchell and Legette on Rookie deals for the next 4 years minimum and Josh Allen as the QB... Along with Samuel, Kincaid and Shakir... I think that would be pretty amazing personally... B-)

Reposting this because it's going to get lost in the thread:

The Bills kept the issues under wraps for the most part. But anyone who knew someone close to the team was aware of his constant distractions, both in public and behind the scenes.

Honestly... You could could literally feel it. Though I will be the 1st to admit I ignored that feeling and hoped for the best every day... But it was there. And it was tangible...

You can just move it again - or the first in 2025 - to get players in this draft.

I think if you move the 1st having 2 2nd's will definitely make it easier. But I don't think the one 1st gets you to the top 3 WR's in this Draft... And trading a 1st and a 2nd next year is a lot... Even if it's a down year because rookie deals are still really important to keeping the cap in line. I don't know... I've never been a trade up guy so... Anyway... We'll see...

I’m assuming that second is getting used in a trade up package this year but you never know

I really don’t think it’s that off value wise assuming we’re getting at least a second…the tyreek hill trade just distorted everyone’s expectations.  If diggs was 5 years younger it’s a travesty

Again... If it was a 2024 2nd I would fully agree...

I actually think getting a 2nd for Diggs (although it's 2025) is pretty good.

His contract is a mess, he's showing signs of decline, and he's on the wrong side of 30.

Oh and he's a pre madonna

I would agree if it was a 2024 2nd... I know Rick Spielman is saying this may be the best WR Draft, heck even the best Draft overall in NFL history. It's the perfect storm of the covid and NIL fallout... This is a crazy good Draft year.

We were at a 27-28 million hit before the trade. Now it's 31 million. So only a few million additional cap hit was added. It's just all dead now

Oh...OK I see... Much better way of explaining it. Thanks!

  10. I don't mind trading Diggs and I like the cap relief next year... I think they were just done dealing with him tbh...

But the compensation is terrible and I don't care what anyone says... Not getting something in 2024 is a massive failure for Beane because this may very well be the best WR Draft in recent memory. Sure Beane can dig his way out of it. But come on... He could not even get them to throw in a 3rd this year? Houston has 42, 86, 123 and 127 this year! He could not get ONE of those picks in a WR heavy Draft? It's not great...

I thought Franklin was the best fit for the Bills and strayed away from that after the combine but as we get closer I find myself drawn back to him again as best fit

He was sick at the Combine and reportedly looked much better at his Pro Day...

If you get a chance, and you have not already, watch this pod. Take it for what it's worth (I know...I know... PFF, etc...), but analytically (high end model guy) Franklin is near the top of this class... Palazzolo breaks it down pretty well (the Franklin talk starts around the 39:00 mark)... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5dKpsFAurAQ

I think the receiver pool will be pretty shallow by 60.  You might get guys like Polk, Baker or Rice there - maybe an outside shot at Coleman, but the better prospects will be snapped up by mid-round (at least that’s my $.02 worth).

Agreed...There's always the chance of one slipping through, but the thing is...if one is sliding, it's for a reason... And is the reason something the Bills agree with? As we all know DK Metcalf slid...But the Bills passed on him again in the 2nd in favor of Cody Ford. The Bill needed a WR that year, and folks like me had Metcalf rated in the top 10... The Bills did clearly did not. So the pool will naturally be more shallow by 60. But it will be even more shallow because it's very likely a few of the WR's that fall that fall will not be worthy of #60 on the Bills Big Board... B-)

Heading into the draft, I feel pretty good about the Bills.  The only thing lacking is a pash rush from the front 4.  I am concerned Groot has had a couple seasons now and needs to step up and be a 10+ sack guy.  I don't like depending so much on Von. Other than that I feel all the other positions are solid.

Depending on who is there at 28, I am tempted to move down, possibly with Carolina who may want to move back into the 1st. Possibly Washington as well to get a 3rd round pick.   Maybe use a 4th and 5th( or 6th) to move up in the 2nd.

WR is still #1 on my list followed by DL.  Safety in the 4th, along with just BPA from there on out.

How are you guys feeling about a month out from the draft?

    Always feeling pretty good...

    One reason...

If the opinions of folks like Rick Spielman and Daniel Jeremiah matter, Powers-Johnson does not make it past Dallas at 25. Mostly because he's a possibility for Pittsburgh, Miami, and Philly before Dallas. Pittsburgh specifically is desperate for a C... Folks seem to be super high on Powers-Johnson.

Frazier likely goes to one of those teams in the 2nd that don't get Powers-Johnson in the 1st... If that happens Frazier goes no later than 56...

Right now I would be flat out shocked if the Bills went O-Line in the first 2 rounds. Maybe if they fill the roster out a little more at DT, DE, and S... No doubt McD is going to love Frazier... We'll see...B-)
